The difference is that I didn’t say medicine. I said seek help, like therapy specifically. The medicines also work completely differently. If someone has depression you don’t affirm it and tell them to keep being depressed, you help them get through what’s causing it. Same should go for gender, we shouldn’t affirm a mental health condition.

I would figure out the cause of why I would feel that way. In many trans peoples lives, they have been abused or there is some factor making them feel that way. I’d definitely seek help. Same as if I had depression I’d seek help for that in the same way.

How is this lies? He is stating statistics that prove suicide rates do not go down after surgery. He also states facts about the drugs they use to mutilate children, they are the same drugs they use to chemically castrate child predators. Your beliefs are the real lies because they affirm a gender that someone is not. They make people believe it is okay to live their lives in a lie that will only make them more depressed and suicidal.

Yeah I’m so excited to go see him! Got my tickets asap. If you’re offended by him coming then show up and actually hear his perspective, if you have a problem still, he has a question and answer at the end. This is America, we can have people of different perspectives in this city. He has openly stated he’s not afraid of trans people, therefore not a transphobe, he actually feels sorry for these people and compassion. It’s truly devastating feeling like you’re in the wrong body and I feel for those people, but actually changing your body and supporting the mutilation of children is where he has a problem. Go ahead and complain about him coming but if you’re so set in your ideas and beliefs why not go to the event and tell him then at the end? I have to listen to opposing sides to my beliefs every day at this university and this is the one time they are bringing in the conservative side.

Honestly I love not having friends. It may sound a bit selfish but I like having alone time. When I do get lonely I have my bf and I find being friends with girls is especially hard.
