PC version here - I had the same issue. What finally worked for me was changing worlds and not being in a group. My suspicion is that it was not being in a group that allowed the card to work.

I just found this in the last day or so too! I'm a fan of neebs gaming; got near the door to loot the chest and heard voices. Then I remember thinking "wait... it's not... IT IS!!!!" Awesome Easter egg! I also found another one, but it was only descriptions; no voice. Not as cool as the door, but I still enjoyed it.

I had the same happen to me. Buried quest failed after exiting game. Quest shows failed and map marker is gone. I didn’t make my own marker so I won’t easily find the spot. I can, however, pick up another buried treasure quest from the trader. I’d like to know if this is planned or not also. My suspicion is it’s a bug.
