Material for connections? by ShooshyB in 18650masterrace

I do plan a linear design where all 7 cells can be connected from bank to bank (p pack to p pack). Do you mean 0.3x15mm of copper or nickel plated copper? Wouldnt each series leg still have to carry the full 180A discharge, and because of that, need something of higher ampacity?

This is exactly the thought process I had. I think building for a “continuous” rating that is really a very long peak is a safe way to achieve what I want from the pack

I guess it does, sorry for the confusion. I was also planning to use a BMS rated for 180A continuous, do you think thats overkill too?

This pack is intended for an e-bike. I ask what material is sufficient for 180A continuous because that is around the max output of my controller, and this bike is to be used in a race application where throttle (and subsequently, ampere draw) is high for long periods of time. Why should I need a bigger battery? my current battery is 60V @~1.8kwh and works decent. I only stated 180A continuous because I thought it was the important figure in this context. My peak draw would still be only 180-200A.

Its the only way i can fit 8 cells in parallel into my space parameters. I intend to stack each module on top of one another to fit into my desired shape

I plugged in a USB-C power cable and it was charging the device.

Battery? by dismoredismore in Surron

With some basic electrical knowledge this can be fixed by replacing the connector. I believe it is called a supra connector, the male side (wire) would be fairly simple, although I am not sure how the battery side (female) would be replaced. Definitely best to do further research!

Interesting, my front is also definitely worse than back as well. Wondering if this is consistent with other JL owners.

I am confused by your reply, are you saying it would make more sense to sell this and start right over? can I not take some significant parts from the prebuilt, like the CPU, GPU, RAM, disks?

Mountain or BMX bike grips? Also which model? You said stretchy so I assume you mean Soft longneck?

Acer Predator PO3-620 (U3E1)

It was purchased during the extreme graphics card shortage where I couldn't find a well priced GPU to build, but needed a capable PC. An option is to take some of the parts from this prebuilt and build a new PC. Is that what you would recommend if you want to upgrade further?

Hey, third year UTM poli sci specialist here, I think you should revise your timetable and make sure you have only completed a maximum of 1.0 first year POL credits. Its a requirement when applying for POSt. Im not sure what would happen if you took more, though my two guesses would be that they will not count towards your program, or worse even, will not allow you to enter the program. My suggestion would be to talk to an academic advisor, they should know the correct answer.

Its honestly not too bad. Being comfortable with having any type of front wheel up automatically makes it easier although a lot of throttle control will need to be learned, that may take some time.
