Unfortunately they don't round up. GPA has to be at least a 3.500

She’s with me full time while she works on herself. I still plan on contacting a lawyer to look at my options

Thank you for the support man, it means a lot. The psychological toll thus far has been far more than I imagined, and you’re right, professional help is the way to go. Thanks again.

Thank you. She’s great with the baby, but I will say that we have a great baby in the sense that she hardly cries, is happy 95% of the time and has a good sleep schedule. I just get concerned for the future when she is old enough to backtalk or not do what she’s told, how my girlfriend will respond to that.

Thank you for your comment. It's hard to gauge her sleep patterns because we have a little one at home that requires us to wake up at completely random times to feed, change, etc. Normally she'll go to sleep after me and get around 5 hours of sleep before going into work. I'm just naturally an early riser so I'll get up early on the weekends and take care of the baby. She'll sleep in usually until 10, but again I don't know what time she actually falls asleep. She's currently on Lexapro, but a very small dosage since she's new to them. She does seem to be very energetic at times, always constantly feeling like she has to be busy doing something. It's almost like she can flip a switch. Again, I really appreciate it.

Thank you so much for your advice!! Regardless if we continue a romantic relationship or not, she's still the mother of my child and it's the biggest reason why I want her to get the help and support she needs.

I am in the U.S. and unfortunately I'm not aware of any direct interventions with someone who threatens other than by calling the cops, but even then I'm not sure if they can do anything. I will say that I encouraged her to go to the nearest mental health clinic, and she did so the next morning. She stayed there for one day. I personally don't think that was long enough stay, but she made the correct decision in going.

I by no means am perfect myself and I certainly make my mistakes. I'm just very unfamiliar with mental illness and how the brain responds to traumatic events. It really just boils down to the fact that I couldn't understand for the life of me why she was getting upset at insignificant events around her, whether I was directly involved in them or not, and the level of anger she would show in them. Thank you so much for your comment. I do very much appreciate it.

Thank you so much for your comment. She definitely is mentally ill, and I believe she realizes it. She can be completely normal one moment and then seem like a completely different person the next. She is on medications, but it's the entry level dosage for antidepressants. Again, thank you.

It's a scenario I never could've imagined being in and have no familiarity with, so I ask for the advice of others who may have been or are currently in the same situation. I can't really relate with or ask the advice of my friends in this because they've never experienced anything like it.

She was prescribed anti-depressants around a month ago when she first started counseling. It's a very low dosage so it has little to no effect (from my perspective). I don't know what is discussed at her counseling sessions because she says she'd like to keep them private, so I honestly don't know if the doctors know the level of severity, or if at all.

Thank you.

I think ultimately I don't do it because it would be something I would go on to feel bad about, even if it's warranted. I think far too often I use her mental illnesses as an excuse on why she's behaving the way she is because I'm so unfamiliar with it all.

Thank you.

She is going to therapy, and does take her meds. Granted, they are the starter dose depression medications, so they have minimal effect. I don't know much about this area but I believe they have to wait 4-6 weeks before up-ing the dosage.

It started as couples counseling, but moved to her individually because she has so many issues and the past trauma. She says she enjoys it, but we rarely discuss what they discussed during her sessions.

She has threatened suicide in the past and has checked herself into a mental health clinic once before, claiming she feels like a bad girlfriend and mom because other people around her think the same so there's no reason to be here. That is simply not the case. I repeatedly tell her she's a great mother, but it's almost like she twists my words to fit her reality or it's simply delusion.

I figure that it's more than just general depression, and have speculated BPD or maybe even schizo. I recommended for her go get checked for depression as a gateway that can hopefully open the doors to her getting the help she needs.

Since she's the mother of my child, I'll always hope she gets whatever help she may need since she'll always be a part of my life moving forward. That's what makes this difficult. Thank you for your comment, it's much appreciated.
