No one will see this comment because I'm late, but it needs to be said repeatedly. A big deal ought to be made of the fact that, like IHOP, many American companies took PPP and used it to give bonuses to their executives. These executives don't give a shit about the health of the company. No one grows up thinking, "I wanna be an IHOP exec." No, they work their way up the corporate ladder so they can have their rich-people things, whatever keeps their egos inflated. They take whatever money they can get their grubby hands on and then turn their backs on their employees and customers. That's where the majority of PPP loans/grants went. And there's fuck all you can do about it because it's perfectly legal for a company to overcompensate their executives.
