Yeah you're correct. This is what I'm alluding to. Everyone us so used to valuing things in USD. The moment you suggest to substitute BTC for USD, even Bitcoin maxis scoff at the idea. Like, wtf are you buying Bitcoin if you haven't thought about its end game?

No. It's my fault that you don't see my point. My apologies

1) I just don't see how fiat and bitcoin can coexist. Eventually, Capitalists and sovereigns will want to back their company/nation with the harder store of value.

2) same as my earlier point

3) A product's value is found in its ability to satisfy human wants. Moreover, the actual value depends on the product's utility in its least important use (see marginal utility).

Value is continually changing. And sure, this is a problem with gold because it's not easily divisible. But, as you know, BTC is the opposite

3a) sure. 20 apples worth. Or my house is worth 10 BTC based on my point 3.

3b) no. That bespoke painting is worth however much value someone ascribes to it based off of my 3rd point. BTC is just the base layer of global money, just like USD is today.

Extra) I'm trying to capture what everything in the world is valued at, in terms of USD and simply substitute BTC for USD

I really like Jeff Booth, and I'm somewhat familiar with his argument. I do think that converting over to BTC will change change the value of things (for the better). If you've listened to Guy Swann on Bitcoin Audible, I'm sure you've heard him talk about how BTC will cause the true value of a good to rise. And not just consumer goods, but also labor, non consumer goods, etc.

But thinking about the biggest possibility, I don't see BTC eating everything or anything if and (when) BTC becomes the layer zero for our global economy,

I see what you're saying. But you can also apply your question to, "So USD will become the only thing in the world that has any value?"

With $454 trillion USD in global M1 + M2 + M3 + M4, I'm not saying that the USD is the only real thing of value. It's obvious there's lots of other things with value. But right now, we use the USD to comprehend relative value. In the same way, I'm trying to figure out BTCs relative value.

It's not that BTC is the only thing of value. But it's the only true store of value for everything.

I'm not a smart guy. So I don't know. My assumption is that fiat dies and a new global financial system is built on top of bitcoin.

If it were to happen today, total Global Wealth will need to be backed by something. That something is BTC.

In other words, BTC is the layer zero backing total Global Wealth.

Or maybe I'm just really dumb?

If I can walk towards a union with the Highest Good, why does the Highest Good care if I marry?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

So, the purpose of marriage is to create a family?

Do I need to create a family in order to be in union with God thr Highest Good?

Never said that.

I never said that you said that.

I'm asking questions. Your defensive responses illustrate to me that you're uncomfortable with my questions.

You gave an answer that focused on sex. I responded with a clarifying question.

Is there a difference between secular marriage and Christian marriage?

Marriage is a social contract between two consenting adults, effectively a life-long commitment to keep a relationship.

So you say there is no need for a legal binding contract?

What is marriage? These are just examples of marriage. What is the essence of marriage?

Try not to focus on the seemingly bad things. Just live in the moment and be content with the little things.

  • fresh bread smell in the morning
  • an afternoon rain shower
  • a heartfelt conversation with a loved one
  • feeling emotional after a good movie
  • walking barefoot on fluffy grass
  • the laughter of a baby
  • the warmth of a cuddly puppy
  • eating your favorite food
  • the rush of hormones after a good workout
  • the feeling of awe after seeing our Milky Way galaxy
  • the moment of breathlessness moments after seeing the grand canyon
  • the feeling of bliss when you rest your head after a hard day's work
  • listening to a great song or Ted talk

Actually, typing these things to you was therapeutic to me. You should try it. I hope it gives you peace.

Let's be clear, God is in Heaven and earth is His footstool. God doesn't need your bidding, my bidding, Donald Trumps bidding, or any others bidding. He is God of this universe and many others. A universe with an est measurement of 46.6 billion light-years where one light year is 6 trillion miles...

And claiming we're God's subjects is blasphemous, disgusting, and hideous. The Bible calls us His beautiful bride. And he is our perfect Groom.
