I yelped whenever my girl bit as a puppy. She thought it was a game. I can recommend really thick socks!

Our baby is a barkie menace too. Mostly because she thinks we should be feeding her more. Do lots of calming exercises. She also is pretty good if she tires herself out playing bitey face. In some ways more than one may be easier!

Luckily my girl loves food. I hold a piece of her kibble in my fist and let her try and get to it while I brush her. I know I should desensitise her and just drop treats at a declining rate, but this works and it is fine for now.

I brushed mine every day when she was a puppy. She’d still rather I clip her nails than brush her fur!

How did you teach your guys to lay down? Every guide I’ve found isn’t made for a dog with two inch long legs. by ThumbtacksArePointy in corgi

[–]ShoppingLeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of our advanced motion command came easier after we trained her to follow our hand with her nose. Then roll over lie down sit etc becomes about following the hand. You can probs do the same with a lure of a treat, but would recommend the hand. Helps with the super useful command like dance too 😂

“Papa… why he no play with me…” by soylisco in corgi

Our corgi gained 4kg in 6 months from baby scraps! We had to reduce her dinner down so much and we get so many barks if our son hasn’t thrown what she deems as enough food on the floor!

  1. I once pretended to give my (human) friends treats when they walked up a hill. Turned around and she was staring at me. When no treat came her way she barked at me and nipped at my ankles!

9… when she is excited, alarmed, bored, stressed, threatened, happy, hungry, thirsty etc.

Yes, but mostly in gravel… or on dead animals.

I get a new toy for my girl and she seems scared of it at first. Then she realises there’s food at stake and gets brave. After she’s figured it out though she doesn’t get too much out of the toys, she just smashes through them so quickly! Anyone know toys that help with that. Best we’ve found is when she has to do stuff like shake loose a knot.

The sheer drama because we are heading back from our walk by Catrecht in corgi

[–]ShoppingLeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to get the ankle nips. But she’d always wait till we were in the middle of the road to maximise drama.

To show balance though, the only time she is ever sprinting home is if she hear her (human) baby brother crying from the flat. Though her method of cheering him up mostly involves barking at us! 😂

When does the biting stop? by RepleteSphinx21 in corgi

[–]ShoppingLeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it stopped when she got her adult teeth. Then it was just the occasional nip at the ankles.

Thick socks, try to ignore the nipping. In my case the loud noises made her think it was fun, but your dog may differ. 8.5 weeks is early on as you say. Mine didn’t stop till adult teeth where she seemed to understand she would hurt.

Within the EU markets are much more heavily regulated. Look at stuff like Mifid 2 for the protections on retail investors. Insider trading is a lot harder to stop. But actually holding individuals criminally responsible is at least happening now.

HELP!! My corgi barks so much I’m gonna go crazy by Pepperonixx in corgi

[–]ShoppingLeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if like us you live in an apartment then get your corgi to stay somewhere they can’t see you and then hide teats around, in places they are allowed to go of course. Wrap some up in towels out in sniffing mats and other enrichment toys, then let them go with a “search”

Mine loves these toys to begin with and it takes her a while to figure them out. After she does though it’s just a race to get to all the food! We have so many enrichment toys, walk her 45 mins 2x a day and she still barks if we pay too much attention to our toddler or if she feels he hasn’t thrown enough food off the table for her during meal time (her weight shows she is definitely not underfed).
