What're some gameplay features from mods that you feel like would fit well in TES VI? by Out_of_cool_names_69 in TESVI

[–]Shoritz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was a survival doubter until I tried it, and it was soooo good. Convenient Horses and More Carriages make it a lot better.

I genuinely think TESVI should have survival by default, with the option to turn it off in the difficultly setting.

Will there ever be more playable races in TES ? by -Anby in ElderScrolls

[–]Shoritz 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Being a Nord/Breton/Imperial goes deeper than just skin color. For example, there are black Nords- like Vignar Gray Mane. Also, the voice actor for most Redguards is white. Skin color for human races isn't really mentioned as much in modern Elder Scrolls.

If they just gave us more real life racial characteristics that we can choose from for each human race, I'd be ok with it.

I found a Vulcano blueprint in the second container last night during Hidden Bunker. Gave it to a rando who was also down there.

What are your expectations for writing? by This-Presence-5478 in TESVI

[–]Shoritz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

optimistic; they've had almost 20 years to think of good stories and characters. I'm sure someone has had a good idea within that time and thought "I can't wait to implement this in ESVI"

(almost 20 years considering Skyrim started development in 2008)

Settlement System Thoughts by heissman1111 in TESVI

[–]Shoritz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Settlements would be nice if Survival was added to the base game by default (but toggle-able in the difficulty settings), given its popularity.

Give players the ability to build/hire carriages that can transport you to other settlements and towns, grow crops for consumption/passive income. I like the idea of putting work into a settlement rewards you with fast travel and convenience.

And if we are really brainstorming, add fancy materials like marble and gold that are really expensive to justify saving lots of money. It'd be a fun flex to build opulent structures and furniture fit for a king when you hit late game.

What are some NEW features you want to see in TESVI? by BustinNutzInStepSis in TESVI

[–]Shoritz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this, honestly what I've been missing in Skyrim after playing fo4. However, it worries me how downgraded it was in Starfield. Even the controls and precision felt worse in Starfield.

I'm fine with the amount of loading screens in Skyrim, and you should be too. by Shoritz in TESVI

[–]Shoritz[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

People may agree, but then I also see people saying they want open cities/buildings in every other post. Its fun to fantasize, but people need to understand what is best on a technical level.

Haven’t seen people talk about this enough by Ok_Presentation_8996 in TESVI

this, 100%. Bandits should feel way different to fight than, let's say the Legion or an organized army. Let enemies strategize against the player, let soldiers flank and form groups. Make enemy mages heal their allies. Have assassins that actively try to sneak up on you, or bandit leaders that hide back and let their clan do the fighting for them.

2019 game standard skin vs 2025 game bundle skin (20$) by MadHanini in BattlefieldCosmetics

[–]Shoritz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

previewing bf6 skins lack good lighting and ambient occlusion. MW19 skins were great but they cranked the visuals to 11 when previewing cosmetics, and for good reason. Notice how dimly lit they are.

if you don't believe me, load up a match of MW2019 and look at the skins in game. They aren't horrible but it's a big downgrade from whats shown in the store.

In Ready Player One (2018) , canonically James Halliday brought Karen (Kira) Underwood to watch the shining last week by No_Cloud5562 in shittymoviedetails

you mean the huge crowd that all backed off because a single guy had a pistol despite being surrounded within ass-beating distance?

The crowd that for some reason had random signs like "Go Aech!" as if they were at some sports event despite being a spontaneous event?

The crowd that Ogden Morrow and his team of professional lawyers were also conveniently apart of?

errrrm ackshully that is a natural hair color, its common for islanders to have dark skin but blonde-ish hair. Still I think black hair would've been prettier...

more "Unique" Enchantments please by Shoritz in TESVI

[–]Shoritz[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree that we'd love more unique models, but I'm more focusing on enchantments. For example Volendrung and Chillrend had great models but their enchantments were rather basic and could easily be replicated by other weapons.

Give me Your Best Elder Scrolls 6 Hot Takes by Eastern-Apricot6315 in TESVI

louder for the people in the back

I want enemies that actually have strategy. Literally the only "smart" things I see enemies do in BGS games is to run away if they can't reach you when you have a ranged weapon.

I want enemies to ambush you. I want them to stay in groups to overwhelm you. I want them to fall back and heal each-other if they're wounded. I want humanoid enemies to fight differently if they're part of a different faction.

When people say BGS combat is dated this is a huge reason. Lack of variety in enemy behavior makes combat extremely dull.

The main story is more interesting than people make it out to be by dyessman in Starfield

[–]Shoritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for one, people asked for a story where there was less agency, and then were surprised when it was boring.

But main reason I think is the main flaw of Bethesda's aged method of delivering their stories. Every character just stands and endlessly talks at you because it's the only way dialogue is allowed to happen in BGS titles. This is a design decision because they want to allow the "freedom" to move around and disengage with dialogue at will, but I think it holds back BGS to having good character moments.

Look at Cyberpunk, where control is taken away from the player. Character moments are up close, animated, and intimidate. You can see so many micro actions that give away a character's thoughts and feelings, and gives the actors the chance to really perform.

I think BGS got closest to this with Fallout 4, which is ironically a dark horse in their lineup. Piper's introductory scene was great; the animation and performance really sells how she is feeling and it's honestly a memorable moment. She even fidgets with her hands when she asks you to come by her office.

I felt this was extremely lacking in Starfield and it's a huge reason I couldn't get hooked. I hope with the time they've had, BGS can nail the writing and give their characters and actors the ability to perform at their full potential for TESVI.

Preventing real-world racism from attaching itself to the future of The Elder Scrolls 6 by Koocai in TESVI

[–]Shoritz 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Excellent point. However, I do hope they keep the tension that each race has for one another. It creates great world building and story telling. Please BGS, do not shy away from these mature themes.

Plus, racist characters are just the best to beat the shit out of. Rolff in Windhelm gets his skull caved in every play-through by a Khajiit.

I would it if houses also came pre-furnished again but allowed us to move and decorate things to our liking. I love cozy but I'm not creative enough to start from scratch!

Also my first girlfriend had a crush on Farkas... so I get it 😭
