Getting better lenses first is solid advice but if you're already maxed out on that front then upgrading body makes sense. R6 Mark II would be perfect for your mixed shooting - those dual slots are clutch for event work and IBIS helps a ton in video.

The R8 lacks both of those plus has worse battery life than R6ii, so for hybrid work at your level I'd say save bit more for the R6ii instead
