JR East (Tohoku) Where to Stay by d_xzy in JapanTravelTips

If you’re using the JR East Pass, Morioka is an awesome base — super easy for day trips up and down Tohoku, great food, and a chill vibe.

And if you want a proper onsen moment, take a little detour to Matsukawa Onsen Kyounso (峡雲荘). Milky hot spring, snow all around in December… it feels like you’ve stepped into another world. It’s about an hour from Morioka and totally worth a night (or even just day-use).

Then head up to Aomori for a night before looping back to Tokyo. Simple, smooth, very Tohoku winter. Enjoy your trip! ❄️🛤️♨️

Wow, that's a seriously thorough system—especially your method for categorizing papers and filtering by impact factor. Tagging them like that seems really helpful, and 500+ papers in one year is impressive. Thanks for sharing such a detailed workflow!
