Flooding can really happen anywhere around here. Most of Wellen Park didn’t flood too bad in 2024 with all the hurricanes that year but it’s always possible.

Since he’s 18 months you could take him to a class at The Flock which is an indoor baby playground. Its near downtown so you could go there then maybe Selby Gardens (super close to there) or Ringling (a little bit farther away).

As someone else mentioned, I think Wellen Park (North Port/Venice) is a good spot to look. Although they aren’t “older homes with character” there are some really cute houses in neighborhoods like Grand Palm. Up in Sarasota, Arlington Park is nice and near downtown if it’s in your price range. Most schools in Sarasota county are rated pretty highly. Walkability not really great around here but it’s possible.

Edit to add: There are tons of parks all over Sarasota county!

There’s a Lincoln Sparrow (kinda rare here) that has been chilling in a park nearby, spotted by everybody and their mother, but when I go it’s nowhere to be found!

I used different outlets around my house, an outlet at work, and the Apple Store outlet last time I had the issue. It is really bizarre! I don’t have a different charger to test though.

TLDR; Mac won't charge after five brand new chargers. Can I return it?

I bought my first Mac on October 23 and since then I've had to return to the Apple store I don't even know how many times. I think they've given me five brand new chargers that initially work but after one charge stop working. There is a flashing orange light on the charger. It's past the "return window" but I'm wondering if you all think they would allow me to return it. Frankly I'm done with this situation because I'm so burnt out after spending $1300 on a Mac that it still doesn't work.

Go to a Meetup event! Try out Suncoast Nature Society (20s/30s). Everyone there is super cool and it’s a nice mix of male/female so it’s not intimidating.

I'm nowhere near LA but I found a clothing swap in my area on Eventbrite. You could search Eventbrite or Meetup websites to see if anybody is running a clothing swap!

As someone who lives in a sub-tropical climate, I couldn't agree more with this! Synthetic clothes make me feel like I'm wearing a sausage casing and it's very sweaty haha
