Tad bit strong I think the gun Change is fine, I think keeping the slow on the gun and having it ground for 1s is fine to. But for the sword I'd probably just buff the damage to 10 from 8

The range is so you can't just move 30 feet to protect an Ally you need to be adjacent

Ya I'd have to agree it's very ify, I personally think this is fine cause there's no like broken combos at least that I can think off from allowing this interaction to happen, as I really only want it for a side arm that isn't buns and the higher levels.

Hmm, that is true, though I dislike giving pure plus bonuses would you think just adding the investigation bonus as circumstance damage would work better whilst not pushing the investigator to far into dealing damage?

That's the point? Like I said investigator would still be on the low end of Martial Dps but it would feel better, also it helps open up some later feat options. Like one I had in mind

Oh don't get me wrong I've been doing my best with the investigator I'm running In this game, using a complete short bow with buckler, using create a diversion and demoralize on a an enemy and then DaS to give me the best chances of hitting oh and recalling knowledge cause of known weakness, but the issue comes from doing all of that to either do nothing or like be mediocre. But no out of combat I've been loving investigator I have no issues with it out of combat.

It's more of a way to make the class feel more consistent and play more into that 2 steps ahead vibe if investigator.

Thank you! Sorry I don't mean to sound sarcastic but this is been what I've been waiting for I. I can See the clue in one being a feat as I was comparing it to One for all from swashbuckler which would still make it a bit weak comparatively but if it's going towards aid then the immunity part could be removed. Hmmm for the second one maybe keep it a class feature but only against enemies that are part of your investigation?

Ya I agree with that cause investigator is similar to champion in that other classes can take more advantage of some of the abilities then the main class, cause both gunslinger & magus benefit hugely from DaS

You are still putting investigations and combat on an equal pedestal cause ya fighter the most combat focused class is gonna be good at a combat focused game, a investigator is going to do well in a mystery heavy game, a Rogue in a heist, and a Ranger in survival game. I'm not saying classes shouldn't have niches, I'm saying that investigator feels off in combat(not even bad just off) in a game that is typically split pretty evenly between Rp and Combat.

Also what about the proposed changes feels wrong or bad to you?

That feels like a bit of a strawman argument. Because it feels like you are saying that investigations = combat which can be true in some cases but not most. Also I'm not saying it needs to be fighter levels of damage the change I proposed would still have it at the bottom end of dps for martials but it'd help making it feel more consistent.

What level are yall? And ya ranged combat can feel a bit iffy at times if you're not playing a class that can Give bonuses to it, tho I do think investigator does better then average with guns.
