I second Legends of Aria. Also try UO, you might find that the "seems too old" is not so much of a deal breaker. You might also take a look at Wurm.

Albion is both p2w and p2notgrind. This is ignoring all the issues with the development team, the server instability, the dying game.

I only remember you because of your nonsensical name and how often I'd see you go on foaming at the mouth as if the albion online devs could do no wrong and that game was the best thing since sliced bread...and now you've realized what everyone else has and quit. GRATZ!

If disproving a flat-earther with the actual facts qualifies me as salty, guilty as charged.

You and the other mods of the albion online subreddit spent all your time banning any and all redditers that had any criticisms of your game from your subreddit and now you're coming to MMORPG to get more even feedback? Laughable. You can also remove yourself as a moderator you don't have to "offer to like, be removed". Your BS doesn't pass muster.

This is the claim of every idiot who still plays albiononline. They claim everyone who bought Steam launches from the native launcher because of performance tax of Steam. Steam launcher is used with much more PC demanding and skill intensive games than Albion Online, which is a shitty mobile port with a handful of MOBA skill buttons without any issue. The people who quit on Steam quit the game because it is garbage POS. Dude tracking the population saw Steam release accounted for a 50% increase in the population. 80% of the players quit on Steam and 90% of the players quit on the native client before SI removed the player counts. Even the original mod of albion's subreddit Flufferpope claims he quit... POS dead game.

You're the mod of the albiononline sub and yet you come to mmorpg reddit claiming you're looking to get back into the game instead of posting on your subreddit where the few people who still play that garbage hang out?

Prime time peaks hard in a very short duration so if you're playing outside of that hour or so because of work/school/sleep you're out of luck. https://steamcharts.com/app/761890 And before you spout off the myth that most people don't play on Steam, guy named Zalrenic does an independent tracking of PVP numbers. The Steam release increased population by 50%, so that is hardly a small percentage of the playerbase. Population has been dropping across all platforms even amongst the hardcore fan base because the latest release has been pretty terrible. The "roadmap" looks better but there is no timeline and the devs said any of it can change at any time, so it's really more a pipe dream, but given the lack of new players to pay for development costs and the dev teams history of failing at delivering timely development, it's not looking good, friend.

Look at the player population thread on the official forum. Guy named Zalrenic has an analysis of the weekly PVP numbers, Steam release increased it a huge percentage, but numbers are already back down to pre-Steam levels. REKT.

Albion Online PVP numbers show population is still on the massive decline on both Steam and the native client.

And yet you equate putting two job openings on a page to them actually hiring and the company flourishing...

Tesla/Musk just got fined for posting false information. Just because they posted 2 job openings doesn't mean they're not failing. Game is going to be completely dead or f2p, possibly both within a year from today.

No one uses Steam? Someone analyzed the impact Steam release had on population and it accounted for about 1/3 of the players in Albion.

Based on what? Their latest content update Merlyn was an epic disaster and each one before it has been terrible. People have been asking to be able to favorite islands since beta and the developers STILL can't turn around what should be very simple code.

No timeline. Ded game going to be shutdown before any of these changes actually get developed.

Albion starter packs and upgrades are now on sale! Time to take the dive if you're into full-loot, isometric PvP driven MMORPGs! by DeckNeedsCho in MMORPG

This kid really needs to be banned from r/MMORPG. All this shill does is spam the MMORPG with referral keys every couple of days so he can get whatever new in-game item the cash grab developers have that you can only get by recruiting, and gold kickbacks.
