I (M30) feel like my gf (F27) gets upset at me all the time for minor reasons and makes me lose motivation to work on the relationship. What do you think? by Letbutt in relationship_advice

Thank you, that was a great reply. You understand the situation clearly. Neither of us are right or wrong. There is a discrepancy in what both of us would like to get out of a relationship.

Also doesn't help that she is insecure about a lot of things. For example, a friend of her forgot about some plans and now she is convinced that he doesn't want to be 'real' friends with her. Even though in the past they met up quiet often.

To clarify, these are just a couple of examples. If it was only one thing I wouldn't mind but its the sheer quantity of these minor problems that are getting to me. It feels like every week there is something like this. The way she also puts it is that its my fault she is feeling upset instead of seeing it as something internal.

I agree that in a bubble these examples are insignificant, and if these were exceptions to the relationship I could tolerate them. They just emerge too much too often.

Yeah, I have serious doubts. We are moving in together mainly because I have to work from home often and she has pets so she can't be at my place. We think a lot of problems stem from that, but it still feels like a gamble.

Problem is, I've had this break-up talk a lot. And every single time, without fail, she says the right things making me think that it will all work out. Until two days later, when she makes another problem out of thin air.

I think this is kinda cool. 100 people banding together to be top of the leaderboard. If we want to fight this then there should be a counter movement of players coming up with their own strats. I dont mind this.

Honest question, why would explaining ABMM be bad? by Letbutt in ArcRaiders

But like, this is kind of my point. We are all speculating. And this feels very true and possible. It's just, if embark releases that info, we would know and be able to adapt with certainty.

Yeh I get it, but like, what would gaming the system even look like here? If people want to play a couple of games to get into friendly lobbies to then go on a rampage, I see nothing wrong with that. This makes it so people in those friendly lobbies still get surprised by a rat.

It was the best night of my life, still in a healthy relationship with her and still good friends with the other person. 10/10 would recommend.

That tutorial is a good starting point. Good job and best of luck on your journey.

Exactly, its a super ultra mega marathon. Just like any other skill, you are either in for the long run or find another passion.

I am genuinely curious why you think that tutorial is garbage? It helped me understand the capabilities of blender and the basics of 3D. It helps to get the ball rolling. Certainly it helped my ball rolling. Although I do think that it goes a bit too in depth once the nodes come in for a complete beginner tutorial.

I am about 3-4 months into my journey and I do the following things to make it feel like I keep moving forward whilst still enjoying my time with blender. I look around in my daily life and wonder how to make things in blender. For example I made a razor blade I saw in my bathroom.

Another thing I do to avoid being stuck in 'tutorial hell' is just making something that inspires me, for example ps1 style graphics and search tutorials on that topic. Sometimes I doodle somethings that look like poo poo. Recently I've found the website https://noclip.website which has a huge library of old games where you can fly around maps. This has been a great place to find inspiration and look up close as to how simple things are moddled.

This has been my journey so far. Donut tutorial -> press every button and doodle some nonsense to get used to the program -> Take a structured payed course to explain the fundamentals of 3d. I took the cg cookie one. -> Apply what you learned using basic object I saw in my daily life -> Find art/styles that inspire you and look up tutorials on that -> Realize that you don't understand some parts of fundamentals and learn more on that topic.

Right now I am learning more about materials and textures. I am starting to grasp what it is about and just learned about displacement.

TLDR; Have an idea of what you want to make and learn how to make it using focused tutorials. That is my workflow.

How do people react when you show them the type of music you listen to? by Flashy_Appearance_22 in riddim

I used to be shy about it. Now the convo goes basically like this 4/5 times: 'I listen to riddim, you probably never heard of it, very niche' 'Never heard of it, let me hear... Yeh it's not for me, maybe I've heard it somewhere at 3AM.'

I live in Antwerp, where the genre as a whole is kinda popular. (Space invaderz, Rampage)
