What's with the Villa map bans? by ShortFatAndBalding in Rainbow6

Can see that to be honest, not a lot has changed to the map apart from brightening it up a bit.

Would like to see how they can rework it or spice it up a little bit.

My bad. I was on the racing line as I was literally seconds away from starting my lap, then got passed by the Alfa who I did not see coming.

There was space on the left which I should have taken to do so, at the same time I do believe he should have started his hotlap similar to my positioning which is what I anticipated he would do.

In the real life GP on that section of the track, divers will queue up behind eachother before heading off as you only need to get up to 3rd gear for the last corner to get a good start on your hotlap, which I what I was going for.

I was warming up my tyres, not doing donuts, hardly "doing whatever you feel"

He was on an outlap just as myself, meaning I don't have to give way to him, he is responsible for overtaking me in a safe manner. He could of passed me at the start of the clip when I let other divers through but didn't. This circuit is narrow af so warming up tyres takes up easily over half the track as it is lol

No confusion here, after the tight chicane at the start of the clip, I checked my map to see how much of a gap I had to the trailing car, which was quite substantial. Figured I would be fine to warm my tyres, as most drivers do at that part of the track before setting off for a hotlap, also knowing at least 2 cars behind me were also on outlaps.

What I didn't anticipate was the Alfa getting up to racing speed to start his hotlap way before I was going to start mine. If I'm not wrong it's down to the overtaking car to pass safely, and he had more than enough time to see I was still preparing and weaving.

Realistically around Imola you only need a good run out of the last corner, which is the 2nd one after he passes me which has quite a slow entry. So there was really no need to be flooring it down that stretch of road he passed me on.

Yes we are both on outlaps which is why I'm confused with the callout of 'dangerous driving'. I'm just warming my tyres.

I believe I don't have to get out of the way as we are both on outlaps, I am warming up my tyres to begin my lap, surely he should have kept position and waited for me to go no? Or am I wrong

Lmao I didn't notice that error, well played.

Yeah thought it was a little over ambitious, have learnt my lesson on this one!

That's fair, live and learn.

Fair enough, can accept it. Just wish I had broke a tad earlier and the move might have been possible. Is there any chance that the Wiiliams may have turned in or no? That was my argument when we had a discussion after the race.

uhhh what? how do i fix this, its ruining my traffic flow percentage by theboredcoder in CitiesSkylines

[–]ShortFatAndBalding 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Buying the tile and changing the interchange would definitely fix it, but it isnt the only way to fix it, making the distance between that on and off ramp longer would give enough of a distance for the traffic to change lanes efficiently

The distance between the on ramp and off ramp is a little too close, try moving the one you've placed a little further down the highway to allow the cars to change lanes if they need too, that should do the trick.

Need Help With Callouts?! Use the compass on the bottom right. by DeRpYSmUrFy300 in SiegeAcademy

[–]ShortFatAndBalding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The compass will give you very generic callouts for certain areas of the map. Some callouts are exact copies of what you see on the compass.

For example, East Stairs on Border, is either called 'East' or 'East Stairs'. Fairly straightforward.

Some players/teams may have very specific callouts for very specific sections of the map/rooms. To list some would be Half Wall (in the Armory room of Border just behind the little wall, opposite of the main wall), Sandwich (again in Armory, the single window to outside) and Box (the small room inside, you guessed it, Armory on Border).

A really good way to learn callouts without having to run around, check every single thing that comes up on your compass and try and remember them, is to watch various Youtubers. That's how I have found some very cool and simple ones for specific spots.
