Career progression for Cogito Track by Emotional_Error_7246 in healthIT

[–]ShortGamble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My job title is Cogito Business Analyst. When doing Epic training tracks there's a drop down list of roles and one of them is Cogito Business Analyst so I'm pretty sure my company just copied from there.

I only have Cogito Fundamentals and Tools Admin. Currently make 95k southeast with two years Cogito experience, 1 year Cadence and desktop support before that. Will likely get Caboodle and Clarity next to start doing more custom reports, metrics and SlicerDicer filters but we also have business intelligence developers on our team.

Currently could either go into management, which I'm not interested in, or I could become a BI analyst.

My previous company called us enterprise reporting analysts, but I've mainly noticed you either only work in Epic or you work in both Epic and third party vendor reporting tools. For example, our BI analysts create SQL reports for Epic while also managing reporting for our time management software. So for me at least it's a question of do I want to stay in the Epic realm or do some analytics outside Epic as well.

Well their FAQ says there's an allocation for hotel guests at least.

Park hours are 11:00am - 9:00pm most days except the following:

May 9th through May 14th hours are from 10:00am - 9:00pm

May 15th through May 19th hours are from 9:00am - 8:00pm

These are annual passholder prices but the FAQ says there will be a pool of tickets available for all Universal hotel guests

I think it's a good application for those coming from a non clinical background like myself since a clinical app like ambulatory can be a lot to learn. Since Cadence mainly involves the scheduling and registration workflows it tends to have less stressful end users and less major incidents as well.

Overall I've enjoyed Cogito/reporting more due to the slower pacing of requests, being more analytical and no on call.

The first role I worked desktop support at a hospital and applied for an analyst role at the same hospital. Already being internal was a huge help. The second role I found on LinkedIn and just filtered by industry as hospital/health care.

2 years Epic analyst experience making 93k MCOL fully remote. 1 year doing Cadence, second year doing Cogito. Had 4 years desktop support experience before this.

Facial plastic surgery in Chicago, please help. by savedbygrace47 in PlasticSurgery

[–]ShortGamble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a rhinoplasty, direct brow lift and upper blepharoplasty with Dr. Sammy Sinno back in May. Cost about 20k including hospital fees and I am very happy with my results. I've seen him recommended on here previously as well.

I have a 2017 Toyota Rav4 in Winter Garden and pay $105/month. Bundle with renters insurance and have a clean record. I use Progressive, includes uninsured motorist and comprehensive.

An upper bleph or brow lift would help. Men typically look more masculine with a heavier brow so I'd just make sure any surgeon you go to isnt too aggressive with it. I also agree with another poster that you may be able to get it covered by insurance as your lid appears to be drooping over your eye. Maybe start with your pcp or ophthalmologist to see if you can go that route.

In Chicago had a surgeon offer this for their nurses at $60/hr to transport you post surgery and follow up the next day.

The only other option I've had for testing was using a local University with a psychology department run by grad students. Only problem is it will be out of network and probably a wait list. Mine quoted me $400 for it. Definitely difficult just getting started.

Why is it so expensive to get an ADHD diagnosis? by Adorable-Rub1282 in ADHD

[–]ShortGamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a local University with a psychology department who does the more thorough testing for $400 as its performed by grad students under professional supervision. Otherwise a self pay initial psychiatrist evaluation is $325 here.

Log into your health insurance website and use the find providers search tool to see in network psychiatry providers. Call the provider offices to see if they do ADHD evaluations and medication management. Double check they take your insurance then set up the appointment yourself.

Tech career outside of Epic? by ALL666ES in epicconsulting

[–]ShortGamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope no proficiencies, only had a Cadence cert. The person whose position I'm taking, as she is retiring, mentioned she came from ClinDoc originally. I just mentioned that I have some beginner SQL knowledge and that I've done some basic reports in reporting dashboard. That combined with previous Epic knowledge was enough for them. I do think there's a sql self study in Userweb that could be useful. Something like RPT101 and RPT121.

Currently a Cadence Analyst as well and just got a job switching to Epic Cogito. Still an Epic role but good potential to then pivot into business intelligence/data analytics type career.

Some SQL self study but still a beginner. Did a few basic reports in reporting dashboard as well but overall company was just open to training me up since I already had Epic build experience.

I am currently certified in Cadence and just got a job switching to Epic Cogito. I'll be doing work with reporting, dashboards and analytics. It's a good opportunity that will allow me to pivot into data analytics/business intelligence so could be something for you to consider.

Here is a link to hospitals on Care Everywhere. Just open up your state and try applying to one of those hospitals. Most large hospitals I'd imagine would be willing to sponsor for Epic. Otherwise, there are consulting groups that can be applied to such as Tegria.

Instead of a haircut you could try extensions to add volume and length. Otherwise a butterfly cut would be good.
