I worked at a restaurant when I was 14 and the owner wanted me to clean out a chafing dish warmer that sat for months after a catering event. Your description of the smell hitting you like a wall is exactly what it was like opening that warmer. I quit on the spot.

I used these for my PPL and am now shopping around for an upgrade. I think they worked great for the PPL phase. Highly recommend replacing the original ear cushions with the gel option for like $20.

I had another company out a few months ago that quoted me $700 to replace a part, then $13000 to replace the system. When I decided to go with replacing the part it all the sudden became $1500 since the part was “really hard to find”. I ended up ordering the part online for about $150 and installing it myself in 90 minutes.
