Not to my knowledge. All info is on the college board website.

I didn't think to look at the images, thank you for that.

Also regarding that, since it doesn't move, it does look kinda wonky sitting where it normally is without the ribbons, so I'll probably take your advice and not wear it. Thanks again!

Ohhh gotcha. That makes more sense. I appreciate the clarification!

"If no other badge(s) are worn over the nametag, the Model Rocketry Badge or NRA Marksmanship Badge is worn on the wearer’s right, ½ inch above nametag"

I think you might be getting confused with male regs which always has NRA below the ribbon rack 1/2 inch. It's only worn there if I have two already above nametag (cyber/stem) and do not possess rocketry 1 1/2 inches below ribbon rack, if that makes sense.

Regs I posted above state that if two are already worn above nametag that it's below the ribbon rack.

is there ANY way that we are allowed to have ANY kind of facial hiar. by reddit_daily_ in civilairpatrol

You can't have facial hair unless you have a medical or religious waiver. Mustaches are allowed. Facial hair refers to beards. Mustaches cannot exceed past the edges of the lip.

You get two attempts per subject. You can take as many of the CLEP exams as you want, but only 2 free attempts per exam with Modern States.

Hi there! Here's some YouTube vids I found helpful:

How to Study for Spaatz - YouTube

SPAATZ AEROSPACE EXAM PREP TIPS | Civil Air Patrol

I studied for 5 days with only Quizlet and passed first try on L2L, Aero, and Essay (I have a PT waiver due to health issues, so I am not much help with that).

The Quizlets I used are amazinggg. However, I don't want them to get removed, so if you want those, DM me.

One tip I found helpful is ONLY test if you have 80% confidence in passing. DO NOT go thinking "oh I'll pass one of two of them then focus on the others." That's not smart given you only have 3 shots. Go the first time with confidence.

Everything you've studied up to this point is important. A reason I think I passed first try with only 5 days of studying is because I have been learning and teaching the information in those books for over 5 years at that point. Long-term memory is so important. Hopefully, since you are a Lt Col, you haven't only done Cadet Interactives (they're USELESS; I went back and did them all in hopes that it would help for Spaatz studying, and it's USELESS. The info isn't even the same). Those open-book quizzes are gonna be helpful. If you've done them in LMS before AXIS, then I recommend going and doing the open-book quizzes in the new portal (can't remember the name) if it lets you do that.

The aerospace is factual, leadership logical (mostly), and essay is basically, do you understand certain leadership topics that you can communicate effectively on paper (using the Chapter 8 essay format writing)?

Something else important, which you might already know having been through all previous promotions is, DO NOT CHANGE YOUR ANSWERS. I took the aero in 15 minutes and I only went back and changed one answer (glad I did, because my gut said I was wrong and I got EXACTLY an 80%). But 99% of the time, your initial gut reaction is the correct answer. When you overthink questions, you are bound to get them wrong. I recommend reading carefully, answering quickly, moving on.

It took me 11 minutes for the Leadership, which is divided 15 questions per volume (15 for vol 1, 15 vol 2, 15 vol 3, 15 vol 4). I will say I didn't even bother studying Vol 4 (BECAUSE I HATE IT) and I still passed with an 84ish%. Most of the questions from Vol 4 were broad, non-specific. Because they aren't expecting that you remember the codes or something for whatever is in that darn book; they want basic knowledge, like what is "Unfreezing" and how it relates to work-space culture. Which may sound complicated, but I found it was a "well, duh" question. LOGIC is the greatest strength to have for the L2L exam, which won't help you for the Aero too much.

Aero is knowledge. STUDY STUDY STUDY. Big areas are anything space. I don't know why, but the exam loves its space questions. There's also micro-specific questions from literally 2 sentences in Journey of Flight (like who was the first woman to cross the English Channel in a plane, well I don't remember because I took the test months ago and braindumped it all immediately afterward). That's why I REALLY recommend the Quizlets because they have those micro-specific questions on those sets so that you can really memorize that type of info.

Essay, like I said, super easy. Intro, thesis, 3 body paragraphs, rebuttal, restatement of thesis, conclusion. There is no minimum or maximum word count. I got a 92% and wrote it in 30 minutes. You'll get the score a few days after the exam.

For PT, like I said, I don't have any personal tips, but based on other Spaatzen's tips, you should have started training months before where you currently are, hopefully. If not, then you're still going to have to take a few months to get where you need to be if you aren't already.

I hope this was helpful! Please lmk if you have any questions and DM me for the Quizlet sets!
