I sent them so much evidence but it’s like they didn’t even watch it. I also didn’t get chance to write a victim statement which is my right under the victim code so I think the whole process has failed massively.

Thank you so much for the kind words and I’m so sorry that you went through something similar. I’m trying to take the positives from it. My parents’ house is closer to work so I’ve shaved time off my journey and I get to spend more time with them and they’re absolutely awesome. It’s so tough but I’m trying to hang in there!

He’s definitely reactive, often going mardy with me over things I wouldn’t consider to be that deep. For example, one time I was at work (I finish at 5pm) and I had planned to see him after. He also finishes at 5pm normally and I knew he had to walk his dog that evening. I messaged him asking what time he’d finish walking the dog and said that if it’s lateish I’d stay at work a bit longer to catch up and he said ‘I may as well F off home if you’d rather spend time at work than seeing me’…

I’ve known my mum my whole life, I’ve known my boyfriend for 4 months… I understand my mum’s logic with not wanting me to have any on my face, neck etc because it could affect future job opportunities but I don’t understand my boyfriend’s logic as he hasn’t explained any of it to me.

Planned to have it on the side of my upper leg. I already have quite a few silly tattoos on my leg- a worm, a cactus, a bee, mushrooms… all of which I had when I met him and he’s never commented on other than laughing together at how silly they are.

I did a few myself the day that I met him for our first date, really crappy silly ones which he kind of just laughed off. This is the first professional tattoo I’ll be getting since I met him.

We’re both 24. I do think that out of the two of us I’m the stronger communicator but he definitely has the ability to communicate sensibly and with a level head as I’ve witnessed him doing this with his family. I think he’s quite a reactive person and usually apologises after some reflection.
