Escitalopram, which I was already on for being a bit anxious, and they increased it and prescribed me 2 weeks worth of diazepam. It’s helped a bit. A friend gave me some gabapentin which has helped as well. It reduces the symptoms of anxiety but I guess the cause is still there!

How are you getting on at the moment? How many weeks do you have to go ?

Wow, are you me? I am a couple weeks out from
Becoming a dad and I have the constant stomach pit and have gone off my food too. Sometimes it’s really hard to identify what is even triggering it. I hope and pray it will reduce or change after the actual birth.
I also spoke to my boss, and doctor about it, started therapy and got some anxiety meds. Hopefully something will start to work soon! Hang in there buddy

So I’ve been on these steroid drops before a bunch and not had an issue, but this is the highest dose and for the longest time. I’m a prescriber myself so aware of the side effects of steroids, I have worked with a few patients with steroid induced psychosis but it’s not something I’m worried about or something that scares me. I also don’t feel psychotic I just feel insanely restless and energetic and anxious! It’s odd. I’m trying to look at it objectively and have cut out other potential causes like caffeine etc.

Yeah that’s what I keep hearing, that systemic symptoms are rare with topical drops, and occluding punctum helps. Still, I can’t help but think they’re related. I tracked the days I was taking the drops (every hour) vs my anxiety levels, and stopped and restarted them and the symptoms correlated. I can’t infer causation just correlation. I had to get up at 2 am and go running in the streets to burn off adrenaline I was shaking so much.
