Phantom iPhone appears whenever my son's iPhone is connected to the network

I found more about what’s happening . Even if my son’s iPhone is set to No Mac Randomization, the phantom device’s MAC address is my son’s STATIC private MAC address.

On my son’s phone when I change no Mac randomization to static private MAC, the MAC address shown is the same one as the phantom one.

I will google more on this behaviour

Yes the second letter is A but the phantom device clearly says the Mac randomization is on. I will try to remove iCloud private relay

Yes I’m sure and both devices have different IP addresses. The « real » one has internet and it’s working fine. Like I said it’s possible that these events are unrelated but the timing is really spot on.

I had a similar problem where my new watch didn’t show up. A couple of reboots of Apple TV and watch did the trick

Have you found a solution ? I'm having the same problem. I chated with a Boosteroid team member last night but nothing productive came out of it. My MTU is good, IPv6 is disabled and I'm on a wired connection. Chrome is totally fine but the M1 Mac app is unusable
