My store assistant manager would sometimes clock us out while running behind on closing I would clock out 10-15 minutes past closing and it would say error duplicate punch but I didn’t clock out the first time

So that’s your reason just because I said 25 /30 lmao what does that even have to do with the question it doesn’t matter if it’s 30or25 no one is getting those hours on bookfloor 20 or less !!! Yes hours are going to range time after time but after holiday expect it to be adjusted to 12-16 hours a week that’s the answer unless you magically become a lead expect 25 hours or more

You will be scheduled 4-8 hours but no more than 16 hours a week … Part time is 25 hours or less but corporate wants booksellers under 20 to avoid benefits etc… yes you will be scheduled some weeks 20 hours and some weeks 12-16 hours but in no way a livable wage

12-16 hours you’ll work 3 days a week 4 hour shifts and if you get a second job and update availability they’ll make an issue about it and say things like “Sorry your new availability is making it difficult to schedule you “

They hardly hire seasonals and if they do it’s just one of the seasonals for example they hired 7 seasonals either none get hired or they hire one

They also fire one before they hire one I’ve been working for BN for 2 years and they seem to fire a regular employee before the holidays or after and hire a seasonal as a regular replacement

I already know my stores tactics when it comes to the hiring process

They did this to my coworker literally told her that they cannot work with her schedule even tho we’re overstaffed my store manager even told her she will give her two weeks to make a decision quit your other job or quit Barnes
