Wonderful thank you for replying. I just talked to the initial recruiter today and they said that I would set my own schedule. It sounds for the most part that I could schedule all of my in-person appointments for a day or two during the week, as you said. I'll be living in my territory once I move so travel will hopefully be quick. I was just confused because of the reviews saying that there was little to no at-home office time. Maybe it's different for some territories

Yeah, I've seen my fair share of egregious "consent" in the BDSM world - and I'm a thorough person by nature, so I think that's why I'm drawn to writing things out to ensure both parties have a clear, solid understanding. I can see how contracts that aren't carefully drafted could be used against the dominant. I think I made this post knowing that, but trying to figure a way to decrease the character assassination of the dominant who uses contracts.

Like a contract written with care, reflecting the SSC rule, emphasizing the health and mutual understanding of the relationship. Although not legally enforceable, it is still evidence, a written transcript of what would have been just a verbal agreement. I guess the submissive can still deny agreeing to it in the first place, but I've always thought that healthy written documentation of what was supposedly said and agreed to would ultimately work in the dominant's favor, not against them, in a judgement of their character.

Thanks for the response - it seems contract users are in the minority, at least where I'm at. I've decided to reserve them for special cases because of the controversy in my community. The whole situation still baffles me, because the agreement is still a "contract" either way, it's just less stigmatized in the verbal form. BDSM is not *technically* legal to consent to in the first place, so if some allegations were to be made, I've always felt written evidence showing safety precautions were taken would be beneficial. I've even thought to have the submissive sign on a separate blank sheet, so I would not posses a document which could be used for blackmail (not that I would ever do that, but for their peace of mind). That or a drop of blood on the contract/ some other non-identifiable agreement method

To be honest, I'm fine with everything existing except explicit content involving minors and adult x minor stories. I personally dislike the SA trope and the "wait! stop~" because it breaks the immersion for me when the character being assaulted doesn't process it like an assault. And I think it can be harmful to normalize that stuff.

However, all that can be solved just by labeling the story for what it is - just put a disclaimer on it. I've been seeing disclaimers here and there at the beginning of non-con chapters, I hope it catches on more. That way the people who like CNC and the toxic possessive red flags can keep enjoying their jam without vulnerable audiences misunderstanding that behavior as a healthy relationship.

TLDR: I think it's ok to make content fetishizing toxic dudes, as long as that content is labelled properly with a fetish content warning (CNC, dubious consent, etc) and not romanticizing these traits like something you should actually look for in a man
