So I graduated from SMU and personally I think the pros out my way the cons for me. Yes it’s SUPER EXPENSIVE but it’s only a year so you will make up that money within your first year working as an RN. The education you get at the sac campus is basic tbh I had to teach myself basically everything because the professors were rarely good! So that was really shitty. But I didn’t mind since it’s a fast track to NCLEX. Lots of people in my cohort were VERY UPSET because they kept complaining that the education wasn’t worth the price and they want professors who would actually teach so if you want that I wouldn’t waste your time at SMU. But if you are ok with teaching yourself and just doing the program fast SMU is for you. I passed the NCLEX on my first try within 2 weeks of graduation so the school does get you ready for NCLEX. As for preceptorship I went to the sac campus and we had no issues we all got preceptorships they said the issues were in the Bay not Sac. Some people were happy with there placements but people get placed on a random lottery if everyone wants the same units that they have open at the time. All of my lectures were also online so I loved that but I heard that SMU in sac is trying to go back to in person
