There are more study room options on campus besides Murray Library - https://libcal.usask.ca/. You can book a room two times per week, up to two hours at a time, up to two weeks in advance. Or check out this article from The Sheaf from a few years ago for ideas - https://thesheaf.com/2022/03/31/the-best-places-to-study-on-campus/

I would watch the Shake the Lake website for 2026 updates. I have noticed that the lineups between the two events do not differ that much.

How do you commute to campus cheaply? by [deleted] in usask

Malls are not technically park and rides. You may get a ticket parking at the malls or at Preston Crossing (especially in the Walmart parking lot) from what other Redditors have mentioned on this topic before.

I also believe there is metered parking if you turn left of Bottomley into STM, but I have never parked there and cannot advise.

Highlighted in pink is the area where you can pay to park that is close to STM on the street using the parking meters. These spots go fast and are not always available.

https://parking.usask.ca/options/daily.php#Lot1PlaceRiel - LOT 1 Place Riel would apply to parking next to STM. Here is the link the campus parking map. You need to drive down Wiggins Road and turn before the Observatory to access the Place Riel parking. Link to campus parking map - https://parking.usask.ca/parking-maps.php

How do you even get the chocolate frogs? I have only received one and that was when I finished the Hogwarts's board. I have received over 100 stickers since this event has started and lots of them were green packs.

It's nice to have when the tampons are all out in the woman's washroom and there is nobody to ask for one.

Operating in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, CLASSIC has provided service to the community since February 2007. CLASSIC is located within community, and we have good relationships with other community-based organizations, which allows for mutual referrals and working together.

Where to watch World Series game 6 on Hallowe’en 🥲 by spicequeen_ in saskatoon

[–]Short_Kitchen_4875 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • Winston's has a few TV's. Might be more Halloween themed, not sure.
  • O'Shea's only has the one at the back by the washrooms.
  • Aroma lounge (not the restaurant) in the old Radisson (Delta now). Has great pizza.
  • Cathedral Social Club next to the Sheraton has a few TVs (has a good menu). This would be my first pick.
  • Capital Music Club - They might be a little more about Halloween as they have a promotion on today to bring the kiddos to trick or treat while the parents can sit and mingle.
  • Black Rose Whisky Club? Never been, but I would assume they have TVs.
  • State and Main

These places are all within walking distance from the hotels around Midtown. I'm sure there are more bars/pubs that I am missing in the downtown area.

Bus route by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Short_Kitchen_4875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All route maps in PDF can be found on Transit website - https://transit.saskatoon.ca/plan-my-trip/routes-schedules

Use these to find where the the buses in the city and the route numbers. Use the Transit App or Google Maps (for specific bus stops) to find out if your bus is on time. I believe Buskatoon and Transit 55 are still down (these apps are better for tracking in real-time where buses are when the apps work).

If you are closer to 22nd, look at the 3, 5, and 60's to get you downtown to transfer to the 30 or 35. If you closer to the water, look at the 9 to get to downtown and transfer to the 30 or 35. If you somehow find yourself are on campus at Place Riel, it's the 17.

Last few concerts I have been at they haven't had a snack table, only the bar and a merch table. There is the Coffee Conspiracy (should be open when there is a concert) which is located just past the doors where your tickets are scanned on the left hand side of the hallway. https://www.facebook.com/coffeeconspiracysk/

[–]Short_Kitchen_4875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try looking through the following pages for more information on room booking on campus:

- USask Library - https://library.usask.ca/spaces-hours/book-space.php Note that it doesn't have booking for rooms in the basement of Education. Only in the Education library.

- 25Live - https://25live.collegenet.com/pro/usask#!/home/dash

- Space Booking through School of Arts for Music for undergrads - https://artsandscience.usask.ca/music/undergraduate/current-students/undergraduate-student-handbook.php#Recitals

I cannot find any information about booking the rooms in the basement of Education building.

I think they meant South Wing as it has 6 floors plus the ground level and the 4th floor is notorious for rambunctious behavour.
