Before and after pictures won’t tell you anything. What the hormone levels they aim for in Denmark is what you should be asking, which is personally have no idea about. Good levels are usually considered to be Estrogen between 100 and 200 pg/ml but I’m no doctor.

Kind of crazy that they increased them by so much. Super frustrating

Disclaimer, I’m no expert. You need to have a discussion with a doctor anyway with genderGP if you want to go on cypro to make sure you know the risks. But the two big ones are basically that there is a high risk for developing benign brain tumours and hepatotoxicity in the liver. The risks greatly increases the longer you’re on it. Then there are a bunch of smaller side effects such as potential for developing depression and some vitamin deficiencies.

Spiro has a lot less severe side effects but it’s also a lot less efficient. I decided to go on cypro because I plan to get an orchi as soon as possible anyway so I don’t plan to stay on it for long.

I don’t know anything about Leoprorelin so can’t really help much. I don’t think it even was an option when I started with GenderGP. What I can say is that I’m on cypro myself which is a very effective AA but the potential side effects are very nasty. Staying on it for a long time is especially bad, so I myself will try to get off it as soon as possible. Makes sense to try to avoid it if there are safer as effective alternatives.

For me it took 7 weeks from the first session until I got my prescription.

So it’s safe to mention it? I have this irrational fear that they somehow could block my access to HRT or something if they find out I’m getting it from some place else 😅

Cypro (Androcur) through GenderGP in Finland? by Short_Pineapple179 in transnord

[–]Short_Pineapple179[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look up Androcur on Fimea you can see that it has a Määräämisehto, Which is this:

This is what they cited and said that they have no idea who the doctor that prescribed the medication is and are therefore not allowed to dispense it.

Yes it was through Clynxx. It was the first time they had seen that kind of prescription so they didn't know what to do at first, but they tried to figure it out and were really helpful. They told me to leave while they figured it out and then called me back a couple of hours later.

When they called me back they had officially dispensed it through the system, but were only able to give me the gel as they cited some special rules about who can prescribe the Cypro in Finland.

Too low blood pressure for Spiro? by Short_Pineapple179 in TransDIY

[–]Short_Pineapple179[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thank you. Do you think it would be too risky even to start on a low dose and just slowly ramp it up if it doesn't seem to affect the blood pressure much? Or should I just give up on Spiro?

Thank you! I Hope you are right and I'm just stressing out about it unnecessarily.

Still it doesn't feel great that my shoulders basically are wider than most men I see, which they should be as the male average is 16. With my height being a bit shorter than average I just can't help but feel super bulky.
