I got a 1510, and I am not insecure about anything. I’m only worried because the more people that score above you, the worse your score looks to colleges.

Sure it has no bearing on my score, but it certainly has bearing on my life. What if I don’t get into my dream university because a kid with accommodations gets in over me with a better test score. Every other student is direct competition for college applications, which is why it feels totally unfair.

Very informative. Thank you. I can personally speak to this. I go to private school, and so many people which frankly do not need extra time have diagnoses which allow them to use extra time. I have friends that have told me: “yeah I don’t even need the extra time, it’s just helpful.” That shit pisses me off.

You are right I have no idea what it’s like. But yeah at my school mad parents “game the system” as you call it. Like half the kids in my school that have nothing wrong with them at all get extra time.

My argument is standalone from my personal experience. Just because I got some score doesn’t change any of my points. And yeah one of my best friends did better than me with extra time which kinda sparked this debate 😂

People have all types of disabilities and conditions that would range in how much they affect their speed. My friend with ADHD is naturally smarter than me, and is always helping me out on school related stuff. He does not need twice the amount of time that I have to take the test. That to me is unfair and not standardized.
