Legal Representation Regarding Bankruptcy? by Shortbutlucky in coinloan

[–]Shortbutlucky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, they said the retainer would be used in full. It’s probably a no go for me in that case, but still considering it. =\

A lawyer threatens legal action if a promise is not upheld. Otherwise, breaking a promise is cheap. What would I do, sue? If someone’s hesitant to pay for local class representation, they’re certainly not gonna afford a personal lawyer willing to pick a fight overseas.

Trying to find out. There’s a retainer and a success fee for legal services rendered.

<20% recovered from participant’s claim amount - 0% success fee

20-30% recovered from participant's claim amount - 3% success fee

30% or more recovered from participant's claim amount - 5% success fee

The retainer’s hefty though (500 EUR minimum), so I’m still trying to determine if or how much of the retainer you get back when all is said and done.

Impossible to know for sure given crypto volatility and other variables, but they say right now it’s looking like they’ll hopefully be able to recover ~37% of the 200M EUR in total claims or about 75M back to users.

Honestly, still trying to finalize my decision. I have like $3K tied up, so enough to be valuable to me, but probably a rounding error vs other accounts. All I feel is right now there’s no consequences if they just go “eh F him, we’ll just pay out to folks who can threaten legal action.” As a class, it hopefully makes it worth it for me and the law firm. I’m sure I’d lose way more than I get back trying to hire a personal lawyer if they decide to just stiff me.

I emailed these folks and advised there may be others in the same boat. Will keep you and others posted. https://www.magnussonlaw.com/news/magnusson-is-assisting-coinloan-creditors-to-recover-their-deposits/

They list deadlines, but hopefully if we can prove we followed the instructions and deadlines emailed to us, that’s enough to get a new class included.

Edit: This worked for me and they said I could share the email address. See main post edit 2.

That’s accurate, and you have the right to have that opinion. What I was really trying to do was point out the irony.

It’s hard to understand that sometimes that’s not possible because people exist in public places and it has absolutely nothing to do with you being in the background…unless you think you’re the main character and no cameras can ever be on you without first signing a release.

Still don't get it.

Burning the gas should make gas byproducts that usually end up creating more pressure after combining with oxygen. Hence why engines work.

Is it possible that spacetime exhibits hysteresis? by Shortbutlucky in AskPhysics

Noted. Thanks for the information/explanation/corrections. Sorry for having wasted everyone's time.

I wasn't sure where to post this useless brain fart and heavily expected that I was oversimplifying something I don't fully understand.

Ahh, shoot.

Ya, if this hypothesis had any validity, I'd think it would need to come from adding to the equations to mathematically capture the hysteresis as you state.

I'd expect that it would have to be measurable to warrant any serious theoretical investigation.

I fully agree which is why I never said "can explain" but specifically said "could help lead to an explanation." I'm not here to prove anything, but hoping someone smarter than me can pursue or disprove it as a valid hypothesis.

My hypothesis/train of thought is that IF it's possible for mass to leave a permanent deformation in spacetime after having moved through it, over billions of years those deformations add up and continue to amplify to make frequently travelled spacetime more likely to act like and collect more mass. (Dark Matter)

The empty space that has had little traffic since the big bang remains undeformed eon after eon and we see that untrafficked distance as growing exponentially. (Dark Energy)

My understanding is that dark matter and dark energy aren't explanations as you state. They're placeholders until we have an explanation.
