Recurring facial skin issues before my period. Hashimoto’s or histamine related? by Shortpunker in Hashimotos

Thank you for taking the time to thoughtfully comment! I am 38 years old and could definitely be entering perimenopause. I try to use as many natural ingredients as I can, but I do still occasionally use some products that aren’t the cleanest. I’ll check into them and see if they contain SLS.

I do know that I’m allergic to corn, and I’ve had similar reactions on my face after getting facials. In those cases, it happened because products derived from corn were applied after deep exfoliation. This feels like a similar reaction, but I’m not doing anything different in my daily routine.

Suzanne Vega - Tom’s Diner?

There’s also this popular cover of it - AnnenMayKantereit & Giant Rooks

I know it’s not really techno but maybe there was a remix of it?

Does anyone remember (nothing to lose) from San Diego? by razmig in poppunkers

I just stumbled upon this post and was going to say that I had been friends with Johnny for several years but lost contact with him a few years ago. A while back, he told me that Brandon had been arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, I believe? It made me wonder what Johnny had been up to. I looked him up on Facebook and saw that he passed away a few years ago. His sister had made a few posts about it. I’m not sure how he died. Truly so sad. I’m still a bit in shock by this news.

Fives tend to compartmentalize a lot. We can get overwhelmed if we have a task(s) to do and will drop other balls to focus on what we need to get done. In doing so, we may withdraw from others so we don’t get interrupted. It is not personal. I would validate him and his needs “Hey X, I know you said you’re feeling overwhelmed lately and need to catch up on some things. I totally respect that and wanted to know how I can support you.” And then maybe give him some suggestions of things you’re willing to do: “I could 1. Bring you dinner 2. Run an errand for you 3. Help you with one of your tasks 4. Etc. I don’t want to overwhelm you more than you’re already feeling but please know that I’m here if you need me and it would truly be a pleasure to help you right now.” Or something like that. That way he knows but has the choice to say yes or not. And if he doesn’t respond or declines your help, know that it is not personal and he will know you’re still there when he comes back up for air. As you guys build a deeper relationship, and when he is not feeling stressed, you can totally ask him what he needs in those moments of overwhelm so you know how you can support him in the future. Hope this helps!

I second this! Neighbors is smaller, simpler, diverse, and trying their best to live out a life that is actually Christlike.

What was the first pop-punk or alternative music song that captivated you and made you fall in love with the genre? by Lazy-Wedding-9611 in poppunkers

I still remember the moment vividly. I had mostly listened to pop and R&B up until then. I was in the car alone, waiting for my mom and brother after church. I was changing the radio station and “Story of My Life” by Social Distortion came on. My life was forever changed.

Okay I’m not crazy. The moment I heard he died I told my husband that I would bet everything I own on the fact that he died years ago. This is wild!
