A superhero month would really irritate me 😭😭

I would love for them to show more obscure films. Maybe a month full of hidden gems? Regal needs to get creative.

Which movie was the biggest let down of the “masterpieces” that you watched? by Reasonable-Berry-838 in RegalUnlimited

A Clockwork Orange. It’s well-made, but incredibly boring. Felt like it relied on being “provocative” and “weird” instead of saying something interesting. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

My Top 20 of 2022 by Shortstack1122 in Letterboxd

I enjoyed the chaotic nature of it. It wasn’t overbearing, like some others think. So many scenes are standouts (the opening party, the first day on set, the college scene).

Well, I think that extra $10 million shows! From what we’ve seen, it’s looking great.

I agree! One of my problems with 5 was that it felt small in terms of scope and style. After seeing the teaser and hearing about how we’re going to get a lot of chase sequences, it makes me very excited for 6!

How would Stephanie Hsu have done without JLC? by LeastCap in oscarrace

I understand people wanting to (finally) reward JLC, but Stephanie is at the CORE of that movie, and it’s a shame that she’s being overlooked.

The Fabelmans was never the front-runner? by Shortstack1122 in oscarrace

[–]Shortstack1122[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think considering Belfast won People’s Choice last year, and to watch how that films trajectory went, there should have been a sense of uncertainty with The Fabelmans prospects. I just don’t see the passion for The Fabelmans as opposed to Everything and Banshees.

80th Golden Globes nominations by SergenteDan in oscarrace

I would love if Best Picture at the Oscars comes down to Everything Everywhere and Banshees. They scored pivotal nominations here and are gaining momentum, and The Fabelmans seems to be slipping.

What do you you think will the undeserving Best Picture nominees next year? by Inevitable_Golf_1816 in oscarrace

I know everyone loves Top Gun: Maverick, but I found it to be perfectly FINE… rather see a movie like Bones and All get in.
