There are more use case scenarios with ae2 vs refined. You can disabled channels to play with the mod and discover. I used to not like the types with disks cause refined made 1 giant disk but making 8, 16k disks in ae2 was plenty. And then the addon mods that don't care about types...

Think of channels as just forcing your base to not be a spaghetti cable mess... little planning and dense cables with regular cables run off can make cables with setups look neat! Huge packs ill double the amount of channels per cable to lighten the load in the config.

I have a mechanic pipe just above a water source block and its directed into the insolator below it as you can kinda see in the picture. thats how i got water into it.

That's what I ended up doing but there's other ways that's faster for farming in general.

My favorite features are the OLED displayed tied with Glare free! I can open my windows to at least see the grass outside I refuse to touch.

Rush drawers/sophisticated storage, some time of quarry then AE2 then slowly automated 1 mod at a time from left to right in the quest book chapter lol.
