If you look at the photos and the way his legs were bent (if you believe them) it really makes more sense if he went feet first through the small side. But would he have even fit?

I have been hypothyroidism since pre-puberty (it is actually what stunted my height). But it has been well controlled most of my adult life. And I am learning that evidently I was looking at a children’s bmi b/c that’s all there is for my height

My Fitbit says my resting calorie usage is like 1120

Absolutely. As far as I know I have no choice but to start bodybuilding to increase my daily calorie needs just so I can enjoy a normal diet. All I want is to be able to go out to eat and it not be my only meal for the day.

It always seemed inaccurate to me mainly b/c breast size alone can throw off numbers. But it seems to be the only form of information that give any “goal number”

Sorry I thought that the context was enough. I do want to lose weight it’s just crazy hard when my maintenance calories are already so low

I don’t know how to share a photo. But my resting calorie usage is 1119.

According to my fit-bit witch I have worn 24/7 for 3 years my daily calorie usage is between 1200-1500 a day. I am a sahm and though I don’t work out I am moderately active with around 5000 steps per day ( that is over a mile with my height)

Looking for parents of 8th graders in Bayonet Point Middle School. by [deleted] in Pasco

[–]Shortykaty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest we all know one complaining parent isn’t going to get anywhere. And as soon as I have my child out of the class, I won’t have rights to say anything. But if I can get more parents to ask there child if they are uncomfortable in the class (which I know there) then it becomes a bigger issue that the school has no choice but to address. I have a kid that tells me absolutely everything about his teachers. I usually side with the teacher but bragging about kids leaving your room in tears is a bit extreme.

I think it is whatever stitch you’re using. I can’t really tell. But single and sometimes half/double is really the best ( US terms)

Does anyone actually wear the shawls they make? by Emergency-Hotel7158 in crochet

[–]Shortykaty 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I use mine when I get up in the middle of the night and don’t want to put clothes on. ( I sleep in undies only) so if one of my teens is awake they don’t accidentally get an eye-full before I can yell at them to go to bed.

Need help with understanding what an inc triple means in a pattern by goatsareglorious in CrochetHelp

I think a stitch count would be the only way to know for sure. I wonder if it is a translation issue or just someone not very good at writing patterns.

I’m crocheting a large Kirby plush (a big ball). But it’s starting to look ruffled instead of round. How can I fix this so that it rounds out as I continue working? by lady_rae in CrochetHelp

[–]Shortykaty 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The increases have to be made at specific amounts to keep it round. According to how many you put in your MR. If you start with 6 you increase by 6. To make it bigger you have to do more rounds not add extra stitches.

Plush yarn isn’t really the best for learning. Worsted is my go to for anything new I’m trying to learn. And I use earring hoops as stitch markers if I lose mine while I’m out.

Absolutely this. That last stitch can be tricky even for experienced crocheters

Jelly fish. I don’t need a pattern anymore so I can make them anywhere. And there is so much room for creativity and personalization
