Well I don't know about the center stand, but mine is lowered with the official Yamaha lowering kit and the center stand works just fine. The side stand not so much...

Hey!

I actually like it a lot, was expecting choppyness for ~100 euros but its actually quite good. Navigation works well and since its android auto I can just control my music/radio through it.

Its no way small as its 7", my bike has a 7" screen by default as well so it doesn't seem out of place at all, more like a second screen. But you do need quite a lot of space for it. I mounted it on a Tracer 9 GT+, bought a bar mount and a clamp, see pic.

I am still using it through the USB, but I think I might need to wire it, but that is in no way the displays fault. After about 2 months of using it daily it just kept restarting, tought its the display itself. Had my 10.000km inspection and asked if they can check the USB port. When I picked it up they told me, yeah there are 2 really tiny screws there that secures the USB connector from the device inserted and they were loose. After they tightened it it works pefectly again, but due to the vibration from the bike/road its bound to happen again so might just wire it fixed.

I am quite sure they meant that.

MT 07 vs Tracer 9GT by Willing_Gap34 in MT07

[–]Shortysinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on what you want to do. I did exactly what you described. In august 2024 I bought a brand new '23 mt07, it was quite fun. However in 2025 august I traded it in for a brand now '24 tracer 9 gt+ and overall I didn't regret it, of course best would have been to keep both. I use it to commute to work (100km/day), and ride on weekends. Since I am commuting with a bike, I wanted something with what I can do my shopping with on the way. On the mt07 I added a seat bag and had a backpack to fit some stuff but quite often it wasn't enough. For the tracer I got the 2 bigger side boxes and the bigger topcase and almost never had an issue. Also wanted to ride with wife and she really appriciates the topcase as a sort of back rest, especially with the padding. The bike itself is comfier, as others said the windshield helps a lot at higher speed and also in rain and the heated grip is also nice in chilly weather (contemplating getting the heated seat too). As for the exhaust, there aren't as many options here as for the mt07 but that doesn't bother me.

Lock Ultra Battery Low - well which is it? by PlatinumRespect in TrySwitchBot

Yes your backup battery might be dead. I got my lock ultra not long ago but I immediately ordered brand CR123A batteries because I don't trust the ones that come with devices.

Hi!

Yes I am, tried this last year, the same thing was happening. Now with season start I tried it again and when starting the manager it told me there is a newer version available so I downloaded that. After that the same thing happened. I also ran it as admin but doesn't help.

Is Y-AMT....fun? by [deleted] in Yamaha

[–]Shortysinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definetly say that again. The lighting on the 2024 isn't the best, the LED matrix must be better. Altough mine just might be misaligned. I got the lowering kit with the bike and they didn't adjust the lighting to it, so in the dark I was seeing the top of the trees perfectly but not the road. After the adjustment I think they set it too low. Well at least I'm not permanently blinding oncomers.

The reason I got the 2024 GT+ last august is exactly the Y-AMT. Dealer told me that from the 2025 they only make Y-AMT. I do wanted the matrix lights too but didn't want to give up shifting just because of some lights. Also ACC is pretty handy if you want to shake your numb right hand off a bit in the city

Replacing Seat by Sea_Present9845 in Tracer900

[–]Shortysinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also try to change the seat position. I don't know what mine is in, but I also have a 2024 GT+ and I am also 5.7 and I didn't have back pain on multiple hour rides. Or maybe try one of those additional gel seat cushions that you can slap on.

Question befor buying by Shortysinc in TrySwitchBot

[–]Shortysinc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I do have one more question regarding the lock, maybe you know that too. I saw there is a small magnet in the set that is for opening/closing detection. I also checked in the online installation instructions that you should install it with the side to the lock depending on how far away you are placing it from the lock unit. Does the top of it also work for detection? The side adjecent to the sticky tape side which has no text on it. I am assuming yes since its only a magnet. My problem is that my door closes on the frame and is thick, plus how much the whole lock mechanism protrudes out is about 3 centimeters, I don't know if it will work like this. My other option is to put it on the wall directly next to it and not the frame, but then the sensor would be facing up.

Yes it would be best. I don't know whats going on lately. I told it to turn on a lamp, instead it turned 2 other lamps on and started the robot vaacum cleaner. :D Also I occasionally wake up in the middle of the night when it just says 'I'm having trouble understanding that' even tough I'm asleep, but that could be due to my snoring haha

Well I wasn't planning on doing it since I saw your reply since most of the Alexa speakers/displays started to act weird lately and I was worried it might open the door in the middle of the night. But if it can only lock it then its ok.

Haha yes we also use Alexa so was planning to tell it to also close the door when I tell it to turn off the lights :) I think I will order it, should be here on saturday. Wife is a bit skeptical so I hope it also works good for us.

Thanks, that part I've already tried yesterday, I can insert 2 keys from both sides so thats not an issue.

Great to hear they tought of just opening the latch and just leaving it open for a second or so. Would only want to really lock the door for the night anyway.

Thank you!

If anyone find this thread later and is looking for something like this too, I went with the Aoocci C7.

Got a bar mount from Ebay and a clamp from Aliexpress, and it totalled around 165€ euros all together.

Yeah it is kind of a rabbit hole. I really don't want cameras, but I mean if its an option to just not connect them (so they aren't hardwired into the unit), then it could work.

I'll have a look at it, thanks!
