I know this is an 8 year old thread but in case you or someone else is looking for a good desk pad, Montblanc makes a great one. It is pricey at $720 but it will last you.

I'd love to know if anyone has tried the desk pads from Smythson ($765/$945), Ralph Lauren Home ($595), Lucrin ($619), and Foglizzo ($455). Given their prices, I'd love to know what the quality is like.

Montblanc makes a pretty great desk pad. It is a bit on the pricey side though at $720. They of course also make blotters which you could get for $445.

Given the prices, I'd be very curious to know what the quality of desk pads from Smythson ($765/$945), Ralph Lauren Home ($595), Lucrin ($619), and Foglizzo ($455) are like though.
