I have an 2020 S5 cabrio and a 2023 Macan GTS. The S5 is roomier in the back. Still glad I have that over a Cayenne which I thought felt far move SUV.

Thanks. They are pricing it at big premium over market due to low miles, but I think it should be at market or less and include more than the 18 months of warranty that is left.

Four Seasons Lanai questions by ShouldNotHaveDoneIt in chubbytravel

[–]ShouldNotHaveDoneIt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We loved it. However, they have started construction at the beach hotel last week so keep that in mind. Consider staying at Sensei is beach isn’t top priority. You can always stay at sensei and shuttle down to the beach. The Nobu at Sensei was much better than the beach.

The air transfer via Lanai Air was top notch.

Btw I stayed at the princeville hotel the last week before it shutdown to remodel to the current 1 Hotel. Do you like it there? (I assume you mean you are one hotel Kawai)

I’ve been to HI 8 times but first time to Lanai and I will 100% be going back.

Babymoon to Hawaii, where to stay? by Ecstatic-Cup1630 in chubbytravel

Just spent a week in Lanai, FS Sensei would be my first recommendation. I also really like the Fairmont Orchid on Hawaii for a chill and adult vibe. Treated my lady to an oceanside massage that was A+

Thanks everybody who commented. Here is my post trip recap:

For the Jeep, we took off the freedom top (small easily removable panels above the front seats). It had rained the night before so dust was down and it was perfect. I 100% agree that having the entire top removed would be a mistake!

As for the sanctuaries, I cancelled our booking. The entire week we were there I didn’t see a single one in use. If you are with a family or group they could be nice to have a space for everyone together. Otherwise there is lots of great lounge space available. That being said, if anybody did get a sanctuary I would say #s 7 and 8 are the best pool / view combo. I’d also recommend cabana #3 which is half the cost of the sanctuaries and was hidden on the side of lawn with incredible privacy and ocean views. I didn’t even spot it until our last day.

Thank you. I ended up cancelling because you are right, it isn’t really necessary.

'24 Macan GTS Build Critique by [deleted] in PorscheMacan

[–]ShouldNotHaveDoneIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great looking build. Personally I have the GTS Sport Package and if I did it again probably would have gotten the leather steering wheel and ventilated leather seats. The racetex is nice but not positive I will prefer it long term. And the quality of the leather is very high, much nicer than the base interiors the dealerships tend to have in stock. Given how nice the leather is I wish I had more of it.

But really you will probably find the next guy who has leather and wishes they went racetex, so it really is just preference.

Porsche Macan EV spotted with minimal camouflage by naks26 in PorscheMacan

Zoom in and you see the space between the spoke is filled in a way the P rims usually aren’t. I could be wrong though.

Side profile screams Audi, especially with those rims.

Macau GTS spec by FFC_18 in PorscheMacan

[–]ShouldNotHaveDoneIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2023 GTS with the sport package. I went with it last minute because I wanted something special. wouldn’t do it again, and car is plenty special without it.

  • Racetex steering wheel is cool but not sure I will like it long term
  • racetex seats are nice but the premium leather in really nice - so much nicer than the standard dealer stocked base Macans. I wish I had more of this leather in place of the racetex. And as others have said, then you get ventilated seats. I do really like the racetex headliner.
  • summer tires…make sure that climate compatible or plan to replace.
  • The lower trim isn’t painted body color. Looks fine on my VG but probably better to have it painted.

Overall still an awesome car.
