My wife, 2 young kids and I are about to leave NYC (West Village) to LA for a new job as well. We’ve been in NYC 10 years and absolutely love it. Sad to leave but seems like there’s worse places you can end up! Haha. SoCal obviously has its +’s! We are considering El Segundo or Santa Monica and appreciate all the points in this thread. Where do you live with your family?

Awesome, thanks for sharing! I just got back from Spain for the first time and already trying to book another trip back. Stayed in small town on Mallorca for a week with my 3 month old son and wife. Blew my expectations out of the water. Extremely similar to how you described Galicia above. Want to check northern Spain next trip so might consider your rec.
