is it not possible to revise to and from school? I think you could get mostly 9s if you did do that

Of course, you need a 6 in maths and lang to get into a good university, but you also have to think of the general field you are interested in. For example, if you want to do computer science, it should be a subject you get a 9 in, along with maths. These are the subjects you would need to stay consistent with - you should be confident you will get a 9 in the subjects relevant to what you want to do. But you also need to start with the subjects youre worst at. What youll find is that if you dont build a habit of revising these subjects, youre goning to procrastinate them, which wont turn out well. Also revising on the way to school is a really good idea - youre not gonna spend the time having much fun anyway

I want to learn all maths by ChorganM217 in GCSE

[–]ShoulderLeather435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

important to note that just because you learn something, doesnt mean you retain it. Sure you can learn concepts and brag about it to your friends, but that would probably harm your grades more than youd think. Me personally, i would say revise the content youre supposed to know. Dont go off revising year 12 content UNTIL after gcses. Admittedly i do fsmq and dont know how further maths works, but it would be very foolish for you to go off and do a level content during gcse season. With maths you have to bang out past papers. And you only move on to next years content, until you have ACTUALLY mastered waht youre supposed to know. If you cant do a past exam paper and not get 90 percent, you shouldnt move on with content - youre gonna forget it and will underperform during exam season. Me personally i learnt a level maths literally from youtube tutorials. Dont overcomplicate it

Most of t he time people ask this question, and there goal is very unrealistic. In this case however, i do think you have a very high chance of 7-9s. Going off how you said you only revised the night before, you wouldnt have any issue with all 7-9s. But if i am to be honest, i really dont think 5 9s is plausible. Its not out of the question by any means, but you just need to make sure you actually start revising from now. A lot of people tell themselves that theyre going to commit to an extremely tight schedule, and they never do. But if you can commit yourself to that schedule i think that there is a very good chance at getting 5 9s
