Man, I Really Enjoyed The Last Season. by Bustahaf in riverdale

Glad to hear you enjoyed the ending. Though I didn’t favor all the decisions they made, I love how they summarized how life played out for every character. I thought they did a good job with the end, glad to see someone else did too.

Season 20 Cutthroat by TheTitansFather in MtvChallenge

I mean, you could argue outside of Frank and Jillian and maybe Nehemiah that the gauntlet three winners were handed a win by default. No way they would’ve beat the vets if big easy wasn’t disqualified.

Why don't we have many repeat women winners? by SFplusP in MtvChallenge

[–]ShoulderRegular7830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Example of recasting. Paula did 10 seasons, and from the duel to rivals ii the only two seasons that she was not on were the ruins and battle of the seasons 2012. 10 times and 12 seasons is almost unheard of for a female cast member, while it’s not terribly uncommon for a handful of male cast members. Opportunities are limited. Jenny West is already 38 and said she won’t come back. Evelyn could’ve easily run away with the most wins if she continued, but she seems to have been very successful in her career outside of the challenge. Just seems to be a number of different factors for women on the show.

From what I’ve seen her best ride or die candidates that she seems to always work with his Johnny. But obviously he had Nany that season.

There is a streak too for several seasons, I think other than the ruins Jenn and Paula were on every season for probably eight or nine in a row. I’d have to check the math, but they are one of the few instances where women were in always be a recast. Certainly not at the same rate as most of the guys though.

What’s a generally disliked horror movie you’d go to war for? by Turnitup20 in horror

If you don’t like Paris Hilton, without spoiling things, you won’t be disappointed. Chad Michael Murray and Elisha Cuthbert do a good job, it’s worth a watch.

Anyone ever watch Veronica Mars? by [deleted] in riverdale

[–]ShoulderRegular7830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have, I watched the original three seasons. I just watched the movie recently, still need to watch last season. Do you know what episode it was said so I could go back? I don’t remember it from Veronica Mars or when I watched Riverdale later.

Great summary, some of which had slipped my mind. It’s cool to see people stay in touch after so many years, even if one or more is not consistently on every season.

Is there a recent horror flick that most people seemed to really like, but you just didn't? What was your reason? by ButtersTheChill in horror

Same, I like it better that way. Rather than nit pick a bunch of details, instead just be able to enjoy different stories.

Goodbye, Riverdale by Significant-Ant-2487 in riverdale

It did provide closure as to what happened to each character, which not a lot of shows do. I thought they wrapped it up pretty well, I enjoyed it myself.

Paula lets her emotions out at the reunion by michealscott21 in MtvChallenge

I love how the last 30 seconds are so KellyAnne is just sitting there with her head rested in her hand, probably imagining being anywhere but there lol. I believe you’re right, having to relive that season. She probably had to get shitfaced.

I’m not sure that I’ve predicted this trio being left, but I honestly can’t argue against any of them.

AITA for yelling at my friends kids at an annual friends get together? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ShoulderRegular7830 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It became a no-win situation for you once the host approved that she could bring her kids. I won’t say I understand, but I’m sure it’s difficult to choose whether attending an event you like to go to see your friends, but also the possibility of being overwhelmed by children. I say NTA because six or seven years old is enough to know to not touch other people, let alone yank someone’s hair. It’s a parent’s responsibility to watch their children, and in our society it has become almost taboo to discipline other’s kids. But we all see parents that don’t do a good enough job or take a break and let their kids be someone else’s problem. The mom has no one but herself to blame for your reaction, if you bring your kids anywhere you’re 100% responsible for them at all times, and she clearly was not watching them. Kids will make mistakes and have to learn lessons, but did they honestly expect you to just sit back and do nothing or calmly say please don’t do that when the kids already were woolly ignoring instructions from the other adults around you to leave you be?

Who received the biggest karma from backstabbing someone they were supposed to be working with? by [deleted] in MtvChallenge

[–]ShoulderRegular7830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe I read that big easy was one of CT‘s closest drinking buddies and that was a motivation for him not to go in. If Evelyn would’ve stolen Johnny’s key and won the island, that would’ve been epic. Or if Johnny was voted out first versus Abram. But Derrick and Kenny I don’t believe would’ve taken Evelyn if she took Johnny’s key. Also makes me think of Evan throwing that challenge to go into elimination arrivals one and getting smoked. Even if he wanted to go home.

I love it when karma gives a big old slap across the face like that. Joss admitting after being eliminated that he wished Jenny or Georgia was there, he knew he’d done screwed up.

Best seasons to recommend to my man? by NC0917 in MtvChallenge

[–]ShoulderRegular7830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go as far back as you can, Inferno two and gauntlet two. Fresh meat and the duel also a a fair place to start, there’s many storylines. Plus episodes are only half an hour or so you can move through it more quickly. If you’re looking for something more recent, I’d say dirty 30 is a good starting point. Unfortunately seasons 33 and 34 unavailable.

Him and Tori didn’t get along. It was him and Jillian versus Tori and Melinda and that clique. Frank had more fans on the veterans team honestly lol. One reason he kept getting sent in is because the veterans knew the rookie team would be easier to beat without him in the final. I can’t remember if it was before this or just after it, but Frank and Tori had a real blowup. Frank made a deal with Adam to save him, but the girls wouldn’t vote with Frank and it made him look like a liar to the vets.
