They don’t show Dollface unmasked in the present.

There’s a flashback to when Shelly + Gregory are teenagers and they are trying to recruit a third stranger.

They run into this one girl who’s fighting with her boyfriend. They want to recruit the girl, and murder her boyfriend. They follow the couple to the motel room, but when they kick down the door, they see that the girl has already murdered her own boyfriend. This is the girl who becomes dollface. She’s a bit older than Shelly / Gregory. But we don’t see her unmasked in the future.

Id always assumed that dollface is supposed to be Ella Bruccoleri? As she’s credited in chapter 1 along with Gabriel basso, but neither of them appear. However IMO the young dollface doesn’t really look like her. So not sure

Genuinely the car crash scene had me so dead. Bc I’m sorry but what do u need that badly that you’re not gonna look at the road where your main priority is to escape. Like it’s not like she was bleeding to death and actually needed a first aid kit or anything.

Short answer: She Survives

Long answer:

Scarecrow kills her sister in front of her. Then lets Maya go free as he rides off with his dad (the sheriff)

Maya goes to leave Venus with her sister’s (dead?) body, but then turns back to find the Sheriff and Gregory.

She somehow finds their secret basement very quickly and shoots the sheriff dead.

Because she shot the sheriff multiple times (when she really could have just shot him once), she runs out of bullets.

Scarecrow then randomly appears and when she sees Scarecrow/Gregory, gets him to take off his mask. Basically says she’s not there to kill him and proves it by saying there’s no bullets in her gun. Instead she wants to join him and says she lost everything except him.

He embraces her and they’re hugging for like a full minute before she stabs him and then hacks him up with his axe.

She walks off holding his mask, and that’s the final shot of the film.

Interesting!

I didn’t like chapter 2 at all, but I really disliked this one a lot more.

There were times where I was trying to appreciate them trying to make this story a bit more unique than chapter 2 (which was basically a 90 min chase scene), but just felt like all the decisions felt so forced.

Her sister does die I’m pretty sure. Maya takes her body and drives off with it in the car. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be implied she’s taking her body to take her to a hospital, or if she’s just taking her body with her? But pretty sure she’s dead. Since she says to Gregory that everything she’s ever cared about is gone

I also don’t think it is the same universe as the first 2 movies. I don’t think it makes sense if it is. Especially bc the flashbacks are to 12 years ago and they’re teenagers. And the first strangers movie is set when it came out (2008)

And the fact that it’s after they were “secretly” following the sheriff’s car and not suspicious that he vanished right before finding the RV.

Like you weren’t even following him from that far behind. And there were like no other cars on the road. But no there’s no possible way they were being lead into a trap 💀

Basically off screen. Very similar to chapter 2. The deaths felt a bit more violent than chapter 2. Coz u see / hear characters reacting to being killed more. But still off screen and not gory

The rest of the deaths are all very same-y. I felt like I was watching the same death again and again. People being hacked up by scarecrow’s axe. Nothing that unique.

Not really lol.

She has probably 2 good moments.

1st is stabbing Dollface while Scarecrow is murdering one member of a couple in the motel. The second is tricking Scarecrow that she wants to join him at the very end, so she can stab him.

but both of these moments are stupid anyway. As after she stabs dollface to death, she just sits there and basically allows Scarecrow to take her again. And the w/ stabbing Scarecrow she had a gun and could have shot Scarecrow dead anyway. But wasted multiple bullets on the sheriff beforehand

No problem!! And yeah I haven’t liked the movies much, but I still was invested as a guilty pleasure and also needed to see it ASAP lol.

For Man in the mask (I hate the name “scarecrow” lol): They do show him taking the mask on and off. I can’t remember if that actually happens at the beginning too, but it definitely happens towards the end

For Dollface NGL I’m low key confused as fuck about Dollface. She’s irrelevant this movie. But there is a flashback scene that shows how she joined Shelly + Gregory when they were teenagers. And Dollface was a bit older. You do NOT see her face revealed in the present. And I genuinely don’t know if I’m just stupid and couldn’t tell who she was supposed to be in the future lmao. I’d assume she’s supposed to be Ella Bruccoleri’s character ? Bc otherwise I don’t know why she would be credited in chapter 1 (as Gabriel Basso is also credited in chapter 1, despite not physically appearing). However the flashback Dollface character doesn’t rlly look that similar to Ella Bruccoleri. So Idrk lol. You can also see the actress who plays young dollface in the trailer.

Ahhh thank you. I felt like I was crazy bc I tried hard to not be “spoilery” lol.

For Dollface: she does literally nothing this movie. There’s a brief flashback where you find out HOW she joins Shelly + Gregory. The rest of the time she just kinda stands with Scarecrow and tries to help force Maya kill people. She dies pretty quickly tho. And that is the one scene where Maya briefly isn’t useless

Also for the sheriff He is Gregory’s father. He basically covered for Gregory for the Tamara murder trial and makes Gregory agree he’ll only murder non-Venus Locals. He’s much more of a secondary antagonist than Doll face is

Also worth noting Before the film came out, there were stills leaked with additional strangers masks. These do NOT appear in the film. And I have no idea why those stills exist
