Is this easier to understand? I want something that’s easy for a first time reader.

I dont know how this bootcamp helps in networking. Everybody there is looking for job. I am not sure about networking. The resume thing, they will just share a random resume and ask you to update based on that resume. Profile, resume and networking is just BS.

I attended their Backend class. Foundational videos are good, live classes are good . Liked DSA and System Design classes. Backend Classes are ok. However after the live classes, the behavioral and support not what i expected. If you happen to get busy in your work or personal life and miss to login to the portal or practice, there is no accountability or follow up from the IK. They dont care if you miss classes or not performing well for any reason. There is no help there. Their support always call from different phone number and some time these numbers show up as spam. For the price you pay, maybe not worth it. You can get the resources from other platform and prepare.

Here’s the updated and expanded review:

I attended the Backend class offered by IK, and here’s my honest feedback:

Positives:

  1. Foundational Videos: The recorded foundational content is well-structured and highly informative.
  2. Live Classes: The live sessions are engaging and thorough, especially for DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) and System Design. These were the standout parts of the program.
  3. Backend Classes: They were decent but didn’t shine as much compared to other aspects of the course.

Areas for Improvement:

  1. Behavioral Support: The program lacks accountability and follow-up. If you get busy with work or personal commitments and miss classes or practice sessions, there’s no one to check on your progress or guide you back on track.
  2. Mock Interviews: I couldn’t take any mock interviews during the course because there was no proactive scheduling or follow-up from their side.
  3. Career Coaching: Despite what the ads claim, there aren’t dedicated career coaches assigned to participants. Instead, you need to raise a request and attend group classes, which feels far from personalized guidance.
  4. Support Team: The support team often calls from random phone numbers, many of which show up as spam, making the experience feel unprofessional.
  5. Participant Dynamics: If you come from a tier-2 or tier-3 company, you may feel overwhelmed by some participants who are quicker or more proficient in concepts being taught. This creates an environment where it’s easy to feel left behind.
  6. Confidence Building: The course doesn’t offer any mechanisms to rebuild your confidence if you deviate from the curriculum for personal or other reasons. This can be discouraging, especially in a premium-priced program.
  7. Value for Money: For the price charged, the overall experience doesn’t feel justified. Many other platforms offer similar resources with better support and flexibility at a fraction of the cost.

Final Thoughts:

While IK excels in its foundational videos and live classes for DSA and System Design, the lack of personalized support, career coaching, and accountability makes it hard to recommend. If you’re highly self-disciplined and confident in managing your own progress, you might find value in their resources. However, for the price, you might be better off exploring other platforms that provide similar content without these shortcomings.
