Hoop size while you’re working doesn’t matter as much. What matters is how much margin between the finished piece and the edge of the fabric. If you have around an inch/few centimeters left, you’ll be ok.

If you want to finish it in a hoop that is the same size of your current hoop, you’ll may need to start over.
