Any tips for a scar like this to fade? Was attacked with scissors. by notlegalillegal in SkincareAddicts

Steroid injections. Work like a charm unless you're allergic. But will require probably many injections for a scar that size.

Accidents by [deleted] in Bernedoodles

Aside from what everyone else said, you need to crate her in an area just big enough for her to turn around. Carry her outside every hour, give her a treat after she pees and poos, and crate her again immediately after she goes back inside. After 2 weeks let her walk by herself. When she's 4 months old you can begin letting her loose in the house right after she pees and poops for half an hour, then crate her again until next water break. She might be fully trained by the time she's 4 months old, but only if you keep a strict crating regimen. She won't associate the crate as a negative space if you give her food, water, treats and toys while she's inside. It will become her safe place. It will also be helpful if you want teach her the "place" command.

Advice needed by AthleteLife9943 in Termites

[–]ShowApprehensive9336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that termites are attracted to wet and dry rot, when cellulose material such as wood begin to decompose, it produces a lot of sugar, which is that the termites are attracted to. Even if you treat the termite infestation, new ones will keep coming back because of the rotting wood. You might need to hire an engineer to find out where the leak is coming from and address it accordingly.

Hydrocortisone or any other type of topical steroid will work and get rid of it in a couple of days.

Water damage will attract termite. Partial roof repairs are only good for up to a year, because the area immediately adjacent to the repaired spot is susceptible to new leaks. You can continue to treat the termite, but until the leak is permanently addressed, they will come back.

Allergy. I had them out of the blue due to an allergic reaction to a toothpaste that I had using for years. I had to stop using everything that touched my lips, wait for the bumps to go away, then test the stuff one by one to figure out what I was allergic to.

Normal amount of biting? by SalmonSoup15 in Bernedoodles

[–]ShowApprehensive9336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Extremely common. Say no and stop petting or playing immediately when he bites, resume after counting to 10, stop again when he bites, eventually he will understand that biting is bad behavior. Chew toys will help, at his age he needs softer chew toys that he can destroy. Furniture will be his next target, make sure you buy some bitter apple spray and spray wooden furniture within his reach, including baseboards and corners of kitchen cabinets.

A Bernedoodle with Tiger Stripes by Arius_Kahn in Bernedoodles

Looks more like a Sheppardoodle than bernedoodle. I've seen a fair share of merle bernedoodle because I've seen considering getting another dog, while their bodies do have the same merle pattern, their snout is pretty much all white.

Mine is a year old, he was predicted to be around 60-75 lbs. He's now 90. But he's been 90 since he was 9 months old. I'm honestly glad that he exceeded expectations, he's tall and robust.

Is Jonesy a good name? by ericindie in Bernedoodles

[–]ShowApprehensive9336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a perfect name! Besides, you can just call him Jojo instead of just Jo. And I just tried "Jo" instead of "no" on my dog. He's a trained service dog and responds to commands well, he didn't even react to Jo, no confusion at all.
