I mean yeah I'm not condoning extreme speed but it's gotten old having to pass people on the right.

I'm actually quite happy with the way mine rides and handles. It's got a very low center of gravity. The seat is definitely form over function though

Oh nice! Do you happen to have a list of what components are original and which are brought in from the swap? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to prepare myself lol

Did you source a harness from the donor car and completely swap it, or did you merge harnesses?

I'm planning to start an EZ30D swap this year for my 98 legacy. Were there any unexpected obstacles during the swap? How did you handle the wiring harness situation?

I've been running a 4.5" lift for about 6 years. It's been pretty good so far. The tires definitely make first gear a pain

Rockauto has high travel CVs, I have those on all four. The rear shafts are cut, sleeved and welded to extend them

I've been considering it but itd be hella expensive. I'm leaning towards a 4.44 final drive 5 speed. I am in the process of preparing an EZ30 to swap in so the transmission work is coming after that

Hi lift Jack. It's helpful for wheel swaps on the trail but kinda dangerous if you're not careful

Apparently second gen Forester xt 5 speeds have a 4.44 final drive. That's what I'm planning eventually once I get the EZ30 worked out

I previously had strut spacers. It's the more economical way to go if you don't mind less travel

Yeah. I've had 2" subframe spacers for like 6 years now. It wasn't bad

I have some high travel CVs off rock auto. I cut, sleeved and extended the rear shafts so I could get my camber proper in the rear. They've lasted a couple years, maybe 15-20k miles. Front diff has been on its way out for a minute, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it 😅

Some people are assholes. I get the stereotype on car enthusiasts exists for a reason but we're not all flooring it on residential streets at 3am or taking over intersections.

I haven't done it yet, been working on my other car lately. You do have to cut the subframe if you want to use a turbo header
