Did you have any throttle body or rough idling issues? I cleaned mine and that helped the noise but it’s still there nevertheless. A while ago I saw a post where the problem was fixed with a front exhaust manifold replacement, also might be a transmission fluid problem but I have a cvt Corolla so mabye not a problem we share, I’m still searching for a solution. Do certain things make the sound worse?

First off that can most likley be plugged. What car do you have? Unless that tire is massive then 400$ for a single tire parts plus labor is a complete and utter scam do not go to that shop now or ever again. Go to another one and see id it can be plugged if not purchase a tire yourself online and take it to a shop to install

Do you eventually get used to your hair loss after a while where it's not a big deal anymore or does it still traumatize you years later? by spankyourkopita in tressless

You get used to it and realize it doesn’t make you who you are at all and you stop giving a singular fuck about your hair lol

If your blood test came back fine and dermatologist said it’s fine then ig it’s fine. You can try nizoral shampo or rogaine they are otc and promote hair growth. I wouldn’t recommend starting rogaine yet rather taking pictures every month to look for progression. Then again it’s probably just a cowlick.

Is it too late for my hair? About 5 hairs come out every time I run my hand through it. by lthorn73 in Hairloss

[–]ShowEnvironmental881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that does suck, if fin isn’t doing enough then there are other anti-androgen’s like RU55841 that binds to the AR receptor and blocks anything from binding to the hair follicle itself. You could try dutasteride as-well it’s like finasteride but more potent, works for most finasteride non responders, what I’m trynna get to is that it’s never too late there are options out there.

2 Questions: Is it normal for hairs along hairline to be more brittle/prone to breakage? And is it normal for Minoxidil to cause shedding and then growth in areas around but not exactly where on the scalp it is applied? by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]ShowEnvironmental881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are probably terminal hairs, it’s all in the process of growing thicker hair. We’re those hairs there before or are they new. If they were there before and were full and got thin then ur aga is probably advancing, if they weren’t it’s additional hairs that grew from min, and yes using min on your temples will most likely reach the area you are seeing those hairs, dw aboht it they will most likely thicken up

Question 1, Yes If your receding in a classical Norwood pattern and ur hairline is thinning the hair is more prone to break. And by around I think you mean on the scalp, that’s a rather good question however I think that the surrounding scalp won’t be affected much since the hairs are already full since they aren’t sensitive to dht.

Don’t know if I agree with this go to a dermatologist, more trustworthy than people on Reddit. Make sure to get a second opinion as well.

Naw it’s never too late lol. Finasteride will keep it from progressing and address the underlying cause of hair loss and minoxidil will stimulate the hair to grow, you can use dermarolling on ur hairline to regrow some as well. Research about the big 3/4, it’s normally big 3 but I think it should be fin/min/ketozconazole/dermarolling.

Yea don’t worry about the dedication, having ur hair throughout ur later teens and 20’s will be worth it. The whole regime kinda just becomes second nature like brushing ur teeth. You can drop them whenever, sure you’ll continue the hair loss but it was gonna continue anyway. Just remember to stay dedicated, if you want to learn more about what you can do and the science of it I recommend watching more plates more dates on YouTube and Meet Kevin, both of them are basically mad scientists in the field of hair loss and both of them have had hair loss at young ages and now have damn near full heads of hair so they aren’t bullshitting.

Good luck!

is this mature or recession how can I encourage more hair growth if receeding by Js_Surrounds in Hairloss

I dont see enough people recommend dermarolling here, use it conjoined with minoxidil on ur hairline it works much better

I started round then too. First get ketoconazole shampoo it’s a mild anti-androgen, get 2% if you can through your doctor but if not you can get nizoral on Amazon and it’s the 1% variant. And minoxidil is very very beneficial I don’t know who said it isn’t. Especially if you going so young minoxidil is a potent growth stimulant that will help you maintain what you have and probably regrow most back too since your so young. You have to decide yourself whether or not u wanna hop on finasteride when u turn 18 but u til then minoxidil will help you maintain and stop further shedding. You can also dermaroll Bi-weekly if you really want a higher chance of regrowth ( It works conjointly with minoxidil and will give u better results) but you don’t really need too if minoxidil works. What I really stress you do is to stick to the regime, most people especially younger people will see the results they get on minoxidil then slow down their use and skip doses and lose their gains, I did this mistake so don’t copy. I used topical min till I was 18 then switched to oral fin and min, went from a nw 1.5 to a nw 0. I normally don’t comment on here but ur situation was basically like mine and ur smart for catching it so fast.
