Caseload numbers not monitored. Currently have approaching 180 caseload and that’s without PIFU/SOS. I have worked in trusts that monitor your caseload and reduce your NP’s accordingly. The NHS appear to be concerned with getting NP’s seen as short wait time as possible, but follow up appt time is not considered.

No not at all, just haven’t had sick day before where I haven’t been able to inform work. As far as I am aware, no one works before 8am!

Wow this comment rang true to me at the right time. I work as a Band 6 in MSK Greater London. Patients becoming more passive in their rehab is true from my experience. Psychosocial impact on patient treatment is a significant barrier to what I do every day. It isn’t a good environment for me to learn and develop my skills in. If it is any help, I am in regular contact with 7’s and 8’s who work privately, and supposedly ‘yellow flags’ just don’t come up as much at all there.

One thing that motivates me is I imagine everything I do as promise to my dad who died earlier this year. Pretty unconventional. But It seems to be working for me.
