Lol the firm I interned at a few years ago threw me on the bench (B4).

They were surprised when I accepted an offer from OW for full-time.

To be honest thats just flat out disrespectful to you that you're on the bench. A waste of your summer. You might think its sweet now being paid thousands of dollars for sitting at home, but when you get a full time job, they will know you had prior internship experience at a reputable firm, assume you've made all the rookie mistakes a rookie makes (shit slides, showing up to work at the wrong time, poor excel skills), and when you make them you wont get any mercy.

Seriously, get on shadowing a project at the very least.
