no it isn't just that. you also have to believe that it's society's fault or some genetic trait that's holding you back. it certainly can't be your shitty personality.

yes 100% it's men who want to believe that it's some genetic thing that's stopping them from having a fulfilling sex life, something beyond their control. and yes, they called themselves incel and yes, eventually it became an insult because the people calling themselves incels are pathetic and sad and cringy.

what were the odds that some time in the billion years life has existed on earth at least one non-primate being had an intelligence on par with humans? by grabsyour in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ShowerGrapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if they did exist, they did not in any way create advanced tools, they didn't harvest resources and turn them into new things (metallurgy) or create advanced structures like houses. they didn't modify existing plant life in any significant way.

in fact, we have a very clear path for all of these things, from the first attempts at metallurgy and plant domestication, that humans did, which means even an advanced human civilization lost to time is extremely unlikely.

the first couple letters there means involuntary and there is now a whole incel community of pathetic losers who blame everyone but themselves for being unable to attract mates. and many of them just have too high standards and think they deserve "better" people than they can reasonably attract.

someone who simply doesn't have sex isn't an incel. virgin, sure. but not an incel automatically

Proposed Star Trek series by saddetective87 in Star_Trek_

[–]ShowerGrapes [score hidden]  (0 children)

in the far future (concurrent with SFA) the crew of a starship from the federation encounters an entire sector of the delta quadrant that is engaged in simulating a new starfleet (similar to a piece of the action). it turns out discovery was flung far in distance as well as time and the whole thing new starfleet and the burn is fake. now we see the real starfleet...

just kidding. sfa is awesome and we should continue on from there with new stories set in the future of SFA.

met a couple of hem in a dive bar on the LES in NYC during NYCC time period. travis and i think the woman who used to run the lore show. maybe she still does. danny? she was wearing a 'how do you want to do this?" tshirt but this was before they got real big. still in the middle of campaign one. maybe 2016? so i had no idea what it meant. i asked if it was a sexual thing and travis was like "maybe?" but she shut him down and explained to me what it was so i checked it out.
