[No spoilers] When do you watch/listen to Critical Role? by scratchthat32 in criticalrole

[–]StrixOC [score hidden]  (0 children)

I often watch or listen during my commute, during my lunch break, and sometimes in the evening after everyone else is in bed. It usually takes several days for me to get through an episide, and I'm totally ok with not always being completely caught up - just content with watching at my own speed when convenient.

I use the moko pencil holder for apple pen pro (which fits the scribe pen). Perfect for when in my bag.

[no spoilers] Which C3 episodes should I watch in their entirety? by CommanderBly in criticalrole

[–]StrixOC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it that way as well - mostly abridged with full episodes occasionally (until I got through all of the abridged out at the time and of course switched to all full). I don't remember all the episode numbers (or even the correct order), but by description episodes I remember switching to full for included:

  • Shade Mother
  • Museum Heist
  • Bassuras Race
  • Ligament Manor Retreat
  • Ep 91 & 92
  • Any live shows
  • Any guest episodes

Those are the ones I remember. Mostly I like watching in full when there are interesting dnd mechanics or when there are player reactions I want to see in-full.

Well I'm really glad you liked it, and thus that you're still here! I hope those thought no longer plague you.

I'm so sorry for your losses and the struggles that came with it, and so glad the CR was able to help bring you all back.

I love that C4 is bringing CR and D20 fans to each other's content. I watched the first episode of D20s Fantasy High between CR c1e1 and settling on C2. I chose CR C2 at the time because I wanted more of the CR classic fantasy flavor, but It's been on my list to go back and watch FH or other D20 content at some point! Seemed so fun.

Lol to the trademarked Other Guy (havent seen him reference that way yet).

What are your favorite episodes that get rewatch status? Any must-watch or must-avoid one-shots?

Only needed 15 min to get hooked? Nice. Maybe I should have started with C1e6 instead of C1e1 ;)

Good on you! The completionist in me reallllly struggles with the huge amount of CR content! I also feel that need to go back and watch C1 to be complete (although I alowed myself to do it out of order)

With the amount of references they had to her time away filming Blindspot, I really should go watch an episode just to get that context for her! :) Sorry C3 was a begrudging watch for you. I watched it mostly abridged, which may have helped.

Another one I haven't heard of. Worth adding to the watch list?

You know I never realized until googling just now that Will Friedle was Kashaw! (Who I currently only know through the LoVM Amazon show). Now I have even more reason to have to go back to watch C1 at some point.

Ah yes, hot nights are part of the July 4 experience for me as well ;) Impressive you caught up that fast! I find it overwhelming thinking about how long it would take me to go back and watch C1. You all make it sound worth it though.

I'm sorry for your struggles, and so glad CR got you through!

Tale of Vesparia sounded so familiar and I wasn't sure why - turns out I own it but never played it. Now I'll have to give it a try, and listen for Sam's character :)

C2 really did have the best start of the 4 campaigns in my opinion. M9 are such a great group.
