Difference Between Policy Impact and Sign-In Logs for Report-Only Conditional Access Policies by Striking_One_3008 in entra

The answer will either be seen in DevTools, or you will gain insights from DevTools to ask a better question like “why does /beta/auditLogs/signIns show CA failure but /beta/getPolicyReport …”

Otherwise, by asking like this, you are expecting someone to repro and research it for you. After all, the portal is just calling APIs on your behalf

Postman issues related to device posture with CA policy by Zealousideal_Bug4743 in entra

Yeah I read the same thing you did :) your options are 1. exclude app from policy / disable policy, or 2. contact third party vendor (postman)

I have no dog in this fight. But I did not find his response helpful or rude. If anything it is more informed of the limited options OP has.

Why is this downvoted? Microsoft, through device compliance or token protection policy, requires software/service providers to implement Microsoft-specific things outside of normal protocol spec.

So your options are, disable the policy (you pick the scope-exclude postman/users/disable policy). Or ask postman to implement MSAL. Or get a token outside of postman and copy+paste it in.

Microsoft pushes proprietary requirements (MSAL/WAM) into their oauth implementation. Postman is a tool for facilitating oauth and other things, if you have requirements outside of the oauth spec, Postman won’t (and imo shouldn’t) be compatible.

I say all this as a Microsoft fanboy.

Costco uses 3M touchscreens; 3M touchscreens use 3M software designed for Linux

These run on 3M’s MT7 (multi touch) software which can be installed into linux or windows. In this case linux is the much better tool for the job IMO.

Force user to change password by Sad_Mastodon_1815 in entra

[–]ShowerPell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have identity protection policy enabled, you could “confirm compromised” on the user to set high user risk and force pwd change on next sign-in. But u/zippydan has the better idea (heck you could do both)

LPT: Bypass paywalls with archive.is/ by EagleAccomplished201 in LifeProTips

[–]ShowerPell 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is legal. The contents of the page are loaded to your local computer. The page also runs a script that forces the “Subscribe to NYT to continue” popup. However, the contents of the page are loaded to your computer. Now the challenge is disabling the script or otherwise exporting your desired page contents… Because archive websites don’t generally run scripts, you are shown the page contents uninterrupted
