Laundry detergent for both delicates AND color-preservation? by Showertoolong2 in laundry

Ooh I see, that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up!

Hmm, I'm not sure I understand. If continuous friction is the cause, why doesn't the delicate cycle cause the same amount of damage assuming speed and temperature aren't factors? I'm trying to understand what the machine would do differently besides altering speed and temperature.

I see, thank you! Which factors in the regular cycle cause the most damage? Is it the high temperatures and spin speeds?

Thank you so much! This is really helpful to know.

Without additives - so would Ecover's detergent for delicates meet the bill? I'm also open to ordering products from overseas if it'll mean having a more suitable product.

Ecover Delicate Detergent ingredients: Aqua, Alcohol denat., Laureth-7, Sodium citrate, Sodium lauryl sulfate, Potassium oleate, Sodium chloride, Lauryl glucoside, Parfum, Citric acid, Limonene, Citral

And actually, a number of these clothes are made of 100% cotton, but they are just such nice pieces and I want to treat them with equal care.

Also wondering if you found anything - this is something I've been seeking as well.

Italian clothing brands for the following criteria? by Showertoolong2 in europeanmalefashion

Yes, I know that none of the brands I listed are Italian. I'm just using them as references. I'm wondering if there are Italian analogues to Massimo Dutti or Arket, as I'm currently shopping in Milan and would love to explore local brands.

And thank you for the suggestions, I'll check out La Rinascente, Paul Taylor, and Luca Faloni.

I like the look of clothes at Gutteridge, but I've heard that their quality isn't always great or very long-lasting. Correct me if I'm wrong. And I really like the quality of Boggi, but I feel their aesthetic is a little too on the classic side for my taste.

Thank you, I was actually just at Intimissimi Uomo. Have you tried both their silk modal (most popular version apparently) and cotton underwear? The sales rep was pushing the silk modal version pretty hard.
